I have a problem with BIOS F9q for the UD5H can anyone else confirm/deny
Problem: Cant set vDIMM past 1.524v, you can set what you like number wise in the BIOS but the board won't actually adjust anything it just stays at 1.524v

yea tons of those F9 betas have a lot of issues like that, id just not bother with that BIOS then.
you won the UP5 right? i think youll like it!
Ye i switched back to f9d on the main & will re flash the backup with the next one out.
Think i might have got it just wait for Honda to update & see who is where....
I still cant believe GB put a UP5 up as a prize thats thats flipn awesome.
i think F9o might also be good. Some users on OCN said they like it.
As Sin say,it's happen to me also on some Beta's BIOS.
Always stay in 1.524V...ET6 show XXXX numbers, but memory run with voltage you set in BIOS.
Try to replace memory sticks or/and memory slots, this help me.
Edit:
Also good to know reset CMOS settle Vdimm (for avail).
Yup its great & its what I have on my main BIOS.
F9q thundering along just fine now :D
F9q appears to have slightly slower latency (.2~3) compared to F9o although its as fast in 32M if not faster. It also for me always fully powers off & restarts when making changes/rebooting where as F9o just boots. Oh & F9q has the internal pll button back that disappeared in F9o.
### EDIT ###
.005 extra vcore got rid of the hard reboots!!!

Good man
Mine are getting touchy now... could be IMC could be RAM still testing but past 2740 tRCD & tRP 12 is tough
13 runs fine though.

Where you found F9s?
Link please.
i think he meant 9 plural
Hi guys,
I have a GA G1 Sniper M3 and have troubles with Memory OC.
The board would not POST with 2400 multi or above.
I tried 3 diferent mem kits and 2 CPU`s. Relaxed 2-nd and 3-rd timings.
VMem up to 1.75V and VTT, IMC up to 1.2V. 3 diferent BIOS and no go. My mem is 100% memtest stable with 2200 multi and BCLK adjustment to 2350 MHz. My friend with Asus told me that I may need PLL Override, but here is not an option.
Any idea?

Hi, thanks fo replay. I update my signature.
I have 3 different kits of DDR3 with different IC's.
My 24/7 kit is 2x4GB Adata G Series V2 1600MHz Cl9 with Hynix BFR chips. It works perfect with AM3+ and X79 platforms:

Second kit is G SKill Ripjaus 2x2 GB. I am not sure for IC`s because the are rebranded. I used them mostly with my Sandy Bridge CPU, but the can do 2700 MHz tested on Gulftown. I guess they are PSC or BBSE.

3-rd kit is with Elpida Hyper IC`s and I do not expect to make 2400 MHz, but try them anyway.
I do not have option for PLL Override with latest F8 BIOS for Gigabyte G1 Sniper M3. I can`t find version F9q for this board. I know that it is not top OC board and I am just wondering is this the maximum of the board or I am missing something?
Both of these should be good for at least booting 2400+ imo
Whats the part number of the GSkill kit?
What happens when you try to boot 2400, do you just get failed oc or beeps?
Sorry my mistake I went into UD5H mode..... Perhaps Sin or Dinos could find out which bios has int pll either in the background & or which BIOS has the option listed before we get carried away as your friend may well be right.
This is SPD from G.Skill`s:

This kit is from ebay and was with aftermarket heat-sinks and I never saw the original. With blank IC`s.
I don`t have a beeper installed. When I set 2400 or above multi the board make one restart loop and load failed save settings.
Not sure what IC's that kit uses.... looks like it was this kit http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=227 which I think is BBSE going by your 6,8,6 1000+
Would be handy if you had a beeper/speaker as your board has no post code indicator we dont know what is going on.
If that kit is BBSE I can’t see why it would not boot I find BBSE mega flexible.... it boots just about anything! Have you tested as slack as 9,12,9 with a range of voltages?
Yes, 10-12-10 with up to 1.75V.
Now with Single Stage cooling and Adata kit I am able to running Super Pi 32M ~2400MHz(BCLK=109x22 Mem Multi), but still no go with 24 and bove multis.
Maybe a multi problem or more likely a very poor CPU..... any of your friends got a rig they can test your CPU in above 2400?
It is my second CPU. With first was the same. May be I need to buy another board but first will test the CPU with my friend`s board.

But still it strange to run SP 32M and not to POST at the same frequency.
Didn’t realise you could do 5.5GHz.... I guess unless your IMC is poor on both the CPU's you have/had which is unlikely it’s got to be the board or the RAM. Have you tested with just one stick in each slot just to see if it will boot 2400+ to rule out the CPU?
