These types of blocks (microchannel, micro pin-array) are best used with pure distilled water. I mentioned that several times in the GTZ thread and EK Supereme threads.

was anyone able to get two compression fittings on this one w/o rotating the inlet?
I am using Feser 3/8in. compression fittings on the XT, inlet is at the centre. The space between the in- and outlet is roughy 1mm, so I don't think 1/2in. will fit.
That would do the trick
I read the alt position only reduces temps 1/4 degree. Thats pretty insignificant. Plus I guess you could do a silicone mod to reduce temps even lower as described in the Skinee labs article...
Hi,
I'm planning on using 7/16 bitspower compression fittings and I was wondering if there's room in the middle inlet, will i need plumber tape, and why is the threaded male outlet on the bitspower compression fitting so short compared to standard barbs? Is that a problem?
Thanks.
Not to beat a dead horse, but, anybody seen those AMD brackets?
Updated ETA, any stores with them...?
Yep, temps are not a big difference, just flow rates were dropped some. Not certain if it would make a difference, although i didn't see a reason to take it as I had extra 45s sitting in to corner collecting dust. ;)
I also wouldn't worry about the o-rings, should be fine.
I don't think it would matter seeing the inlet itself does not change. Gabe cut a channel into the inlet section. The normal position goes straight down to the block. The alt position has to make two hard 90 degree turns to get into the block. The water still enters the block in the same spot though.
Just ordered mine from a Australian store, can't wait to get it in.
PCCG?
I got mine about 3 weeks ago from Jabtech, they look like a great block but unfortunately inside some of the fins are bent, it doesnt bother me much though. I've already rotated my inlet to fit the BP 1/2" Black Matte compressions when they arrive today or tomorrow :)
It looks astonishing Gabe. My new block for sure. :D
Guys
Anyone installed this block on a GIGABYTE UD3P ? i have a TRUE 120 backplate with a DTEK FUZION V1 block now and i was goona buy the heatkiller till i saw this...Do i have to use another backplate ? or i can just use the one i got installed ?
Im runing a low vid 1,1875 quad at 4500 24/7 on 1,392vcore temps on a normal ambient till 24C are less than 45 idle sharing the loop with the GTX285 voltmoded...How do you compare this XT to the DTEK V1 ?
Cheers
Sergio
Gabe,
I'm having an issue with my Apogeee XT, I reversed the inlet so the BP black matte compressions would fit properly, the compression screws into the inlet hole fine but the compression fitting is very very tight in the outlet hole and it just refuses to go anymore. I don't know if this is a manufacturing fault or what since on your website it does have a picture with two compressions on the block.
Any help is appreciated. :)
EDIT: I am using Bitspower 1/2" Black Matte Compression Fittings.
