Zomg
They're getting very close...
These are just some scrap plexi pieces that were used for drill testing. The full-size plexi windows are ready to go. They have no problem holding the drives firmly in place.

I honestly wasn't anticipating the reflection of the drive that shows in the above shot, but it's a nice effect and goes perfectly with my theme. When in the chamber, it should give a ghosting effect to the weightless drive.

Tomorrow I'll bend and paint the brackets, so these should be completed soon.
I like. :yepp:
Oh My!
gosh, that's amazing
Coming together nicely!
Thanks, all!
I'll be gone for the next two days traveling for the holidays but should have the zero gravity drives completed upon my return. In addition, I'll be revealing a new sponsor for project r e f l e X i o n that I am tremendously excited about!
:D
Til then.. enjoy your Thanksgiving, everyone.
Congratulations on the new sponsor.
I am guessing if your going to do the hannibal photo shoot, then its brains for tea.
Also glad to see you still have all your fingers, well at least on one hand.
Looking forward to your next update, have a safe holiday mate.
At this time, I'm excited to introduce my new sponsor for refleXion, MNPCTech.

I've been a fan of Bill's work for a while, particularly his rad grills, and he's been kind enough to supply me with two of his amazing new Billet 240 aluminum rad grills, along with some other small items that will be very useful in shaping refleXion into its final form.
http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/963...ing240bk02.jpg
The smooth shaped vents on the Billet 240s are great and will definitely mesh well with this build, but what makes them even better is you can actually rotate the vents against the grill in any direction that you like.

I plan to orient them diagonally on top and on bottom, with opposing angles, to fit the reflective theme of my build. I will be creating custom radboxes to mount them on both the top and bottom interior of the case. There's also a silver aluminum version of the Billet 240 that comes in a nice machined finish. I thought the black would look better in my case than the silver, although the silver looks quite nice as well.

In addition to MNPCTech's awesome rad grills, a number of other items will be very helpful in completing this build.
U-Channel molding for dressing up those radial cuts on the radbox.

Vandal Resistant Power Switch as I'll be replacing the stock switch and top casing.

Acoustical soundproof foam to install under both pumps in the Zero Gravity Chamber.

3-pin Wire Extension Kit for extending fan wires.

Fan Silencing Grommets to reduce vibration noise of the fans.

And some nice Socket Screws for a professional looking attachment on the rad grills.

I'll begin work again on the Zero Gravity drives tonight and hope to have those finished by the end of the weekend.
Thanks for checking in!
The HDD brackets look very nice!
This build is going to be phenomenal.
Sounds great! cant wait for this work of art to be complete!!
Gratz on sponsor. I love that Razer mouse they did with the skull and flame job. That thing looks bad ass.
Thanks, all. Yeah, Bill does some incredible work with metal. His past builds are awe-inspiring and are motivational for me to get my #&@ back over to the workbench and practice, practice, practice.
The sky's the limit when you have that sort of skill with metal.
Congrats on the sponsors and can't wait to see how you incorporate those pieces in your already superb build.
It's nice to see companies like MNPCTech sponsor up in coming builders also, I've seen him contribute to some other peoples build in the forum and appreciate that he's supporting the community.
wow ..seeing the renders i thought this was going to be another fantasy build that wouldnt happen..but ur making it reality very very nice cant wait to see it finished.
Thanks for the kind words, jpm!
Nah, I wouldn't show it here if I didn't believe that I could actually build it. :)
I guess I can understand how some may have thought that, but that's just the way that my mind works. I'm phase-driven and usually like to take an ambitious project like this one stage/phase at a time before moving onto the next. All the renders were simply the design stage of the project.. mapping everything out in my crazy brain with precise measurements to ensure that the final build would be as I've envisioned it.
More updates to come soon. It's taking a little longer than I thought for the Zero-G drives, because I'm trying to ensure that the drives will be perfectly centered in the windows when mounted to the inner chamber shelves. I'll get there.
Fittings arrived this week. Believe it or not, this is not all of them.
For now, it's only rotary love.

Loving those picture man! It suits the theme sooooo well!
nice shots - bitspower party :banana::banana2::banana::banana2:
Those shots look great. I've never been so impressed by photo's of fittings, and I realise i probably sound like I'm being sarcastic but I'm serious :yepp:
Thats a nice army your building there Xion, when they start there tour, Heat Reduction they should help change the angle of attack.
Looking forward to when you put them to work there mate.
Nice pics, but admit I am having a hard time figuring out where all those fittings are going in a Cosmos build. Sure you haven't switched to an Ascension? ;)
