Hello All, I have read this thread (and others) with a great deal of interest as well as disappointment. I too thought the AN7 would be my next motherboard purchase but after this thread, I think not. We can only hope that ABIT works out the 'bugs' and gets out a quality product sooner rather than later. My main reason for posting is to let you all know (if you don't already) that there is an ABIT OverClocking Competition in Singapore that will be using the AN7 with XP3200+'s. The results on the 20th of December. Should be interesting to see what kind of numbers they get, and I would REALLY like to know if their boards have the cut trace and hand solders. Thanks to all of you for your efforts and the information you have provided. Keep up the great work, and happy OverClocking!

all i can say that i was looking for a replacement for my nf7s rev1.2, and i was looking foward to the AN7, but now i think i'm just gonna get me a ASUS deluxe or the nF7-s rev2...

Hi guys :)

Can someone please give me the numbers and code off the Vdd IC chip on the NF7 that we do the Vdd mod on?

I checked some pictures of the mod but none are clear enough to see the numbers on it.

I want to see if it's the same one on the AN7 for hacking purposes :devil:

My nf7-s can't break 166mhz FSB stable with bh5 in the first channel (slot one or two) maybe folks having trouble with bh5 on this board should try it with just one stick in slot 3 and see if it gets them any more.

No it's the NF7 mod. Hopefully the chips will be the same.

After a little burn in mine seems to run a little better over 200 but just when I thought I could at leaast do 210-213, I start getting memory dumps.... No one has answered my Q though, just how bad have your boards been working with BH5? Mine needed some burn in to be stable at 200 even! And also, what is excal like with RMA? I think I just want to order an infininity from newegg. I dont really want another AN7 or any of the other boards excal has... except maybe bar the leadtek.

Has anybody used BH6 with it? I have some KHX3000 which is BH6 (pretty sure) so I was curious how that would fare. Probably the same as BH5 I'd assume.

i have some AN7 pics here. i took one of what i thik is teh cpu, NB and memory regs. dont know if this helps anyone though. but cant hurt to share them.

ill start with teh chips right near teh cpu mosfets.

again these may not be the right chips, if you want a pic of an NF7 rev2 or AN7 tell me NOW, ill get high red pics of boths same parts ASAP. i can also give them in GIANT files(over a meg each) so you can REALLY see everything.

That chip looks like the same chip that gets modded for the Vdimm mod on the P4P800. Looks like the Vdimm chip to me.
Unless it can be used for Vdd too.
