I was thinking the same thing, how did you make the cuts?
Front I'm guessing drill press, for the longer perhaps two holes connected?

Not a robot, but I used to work as a "Die Grinder" in a steel forging co. for 12 years, guess I got pretty good at it.
For the front intake holes I used a hole saw & a hand drill, the drive bay area I used my Die Grinder & a file to clean up edges, same with the side.
Anyone know where to get a replacement top that will fit the Rocketfish? I want to change the design for a rad on mine and I already cut it for a rad grill. Or if anyone has an uncut top they don't want PM me.
Dang, I so wish these were available somewhere in Europe. :( Can't find them on ebay or something else either really.
I actually stumbled upon one during Christmas time and bought it for a friend since i knew he'd want one and nobody knew it was there. :p:
I and my father both have one so its no use to me. :)
that side panels fit this case again. im looking for a solid panel so i can get it cut out on a water jet...

If you guys still have questions, performance pc's and frozen CPU havent really been the most helpful. The best thing to do is directly email LianLi they helped me find the right P/N for the side panel when i asked them for it. So i was able to find it for like 30 bucks instead of 60+
my bad ignore me
not trying to use this as a fs thread but im thinking of selling my rocket fish case so pm me if insterested and i'll send you pics
btw the cases in this thread look amazing. I just dont like how big it is and how hard the cable management is
I believe that one will work.
Here is the windowed version. I purchased it, and it fits perfectly. Looks good, too.

Contact them and they'll adjust the $30 shipping. Ended up being 13 or so. Well worth it.
And about the top panel, I know of two other forums where people have ordered panels that look like they'll fit. Of the three different models I monitored, none of them fit. You'll likely have to cut it yourself if you want a top rad or fans.
Hey sorry for bringing back a dead thread, but I did not want to start a new thread just for this simple question. I have read threw the whole thread and I think I am correct, but would like to double check.
Will this top fit the case?

Thanks

Nope.
At least not that I'm aware, and I did a lot of searching when I had this case. Someone on [H] bit the bullet and bought the only top panel that looked close enough to fit. It didn't fit.
A dremel and a grill kit/cover of some kind are what I see most people do. They make a side window that happens to fit this case perfectly, but the aftermarket top panels they make don't fit this case. It has its own unique width.
Also I would ask that member that said they mix part, but of course he hasnt been active since 2008
thinking of adding mine to garage sale, except it remained in the box, so never used....what would be a fair price for this?
advance thanks
I used to own this case, and I used it to make a build for my brother in law as well. I followed every thread I could find regarding the top panel on here, [H]ardForums, and anywhere else I could find a half decent following for this case. The panel he mentioned will not fit. I remember very specifically because I was in his same position with the same desire, and someone actually bit the bullet, ordered that top panel, and tried to install it, only to find that Lian Li built the case for Best Buy with not quite exactly the same specs as its nearest Lian Li counterparts. The side panel replacement fits great. Ordered one myself, but I could NEVER find ANYONE that got an aftermarket Lian Li top panel to work with the Rocketfish case without having to cut it. This is something I really wanted back then, because I wasn't comfortable cutting holes in a nice, expensive aluminum case. If I was using that case for my primary build now, I would be more comfortable cutting holes for fans, grills, rads, whatever, as many ended up doing after the top panel from Lian Li didn't work out like we'd hoped.
There were several of us searching for weeks to find an example of ANYONE that could get that top panel, or another one like it to work. When we couldn't find anything, like I said, one of us bit the bullet and ordered the top panel only to find it didn't fit.
That doesn't mean that unequivocally there is not one out there in existence that money can buy, but at least we couldn't find it. My suggestion is to just contact the reseller and have them measure the width of the top. Compare it with your measurement of the RocketFish case, and see if they're the same before you order it. Just my two cents.
And if you find one that is verified to work, please post a link! I would if I'd found anything in all my searchings back in the day ... perhaps something new is out now that wasn't back then, or maybe Lian Li makes a new case now with the same width as the RocketFish, and parts for it fit better. Anything's possible. Wow, it's late. I'm going to bed.
