Would it be possible to run 3 3870's in crossfire on this board?
Are there any comparisons/reviews on this mb yet? I haven't found any.
How does this stack up against the Maximus/p5e?

k guys, plz post your OC, NB volts and NB temps for comparison.
im still fiddling with mine, but just a sec ago @ 450 FSb and 1.45 NB volt my NB was at a whopping 42c idle... its seems like a problem
ok...thanks...will tweak that one.
further update..this is a nicely built board but it lacks the muscle that the IP35 Pro has in ease of overclocking!
i could not get above 460 FSB at 8X with mt Q6600 'G0'...the same hardware (memory, video card, areca card and heatsink) and processor achieved 485 FSB at 8X on the IP35 Pro.
there is Vdroop albeit small; about 0.02v.
not even going to waste my time putting in my QX9650 on this board..it will make a nice default speed board for my wife's computer...she needs a new board...i guess you could say this is a "GIRLY" board...LOL:D...where's Arnold Schwarzenegger when you need him for backup!;)
i made i bios template i hope you guys improve on this and post yours
100% stable  :welcome:

thank you for the hard work of taking notes and then typing it up for this thread.
i will give these settings a try...some of them i am currently using.
if this doesn't work out for me, your processor would go over 4 Ghz on the IP35 Pro board.
nope you wrong my processor can do 4.3 on air :D
hey 3.96 not too bad for a start for 24/7
but i need 500fsb+ need to get memory performance up too i'm a n00b when it comes to dfi bios  but never too old to learn
holidays commin soon will have more time
to see the real time performance over my p35 i'll never go back
i will keep it as a backup board
i thought your processor was a quad, Q6600...i see in your sig that it is an E6850...that's the difference.
need more juice for a quad
What ya DFI fans think about this:
I want a DFI X38 to do this on a quad-core.
New BIOS makes new speed-FOXCONN MARS achieve Quad Core FSB 511MHz and DDRII 1350
http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=539386
ace its hard doin over 440fsb
i booted @ 500 but not stable
i hope you stick with the board lol
i stuck 3 weeks with x-38 dq6 but i knew from day 4 it was crap
i gonna stick with this board its fun
i think we need bios update i doubt dfi spent enough time with this 1
If this DFI X38 can never do 8 x 500 STABLE with a Quad-Core then i will never want it and we all already know the DFI P35 can't do it.
This FoxConn.... has done it.. i think or maybe it was a 6x not sure now.
I pray this X38 DFI can do it, cause i like DFI.
By the way Shamino, Kingpin, Windwithme and many other top benchers really like the board. This must mean something to us many overclockers in the market for the next best thing.
I want a QX9450 yorkfield and i expect or hoping it will do 8 x 500 and i expect to get a board that has proven to do so.
