anyone get SLI to work on this board?
Any body try the F8a Bios update yet for the X48 DQ6?
OK,
just an update I got my X48 back he(rma) ran a raid set up on it to test it, he said there's no porblem with it. So now when I set it up I'll go with a straight OS no raid to take the load of the south bridge and hopefuly eleminate the problems I was having.
F3a - Beta BIOS released for the x48-ds4 (rev 1.3) if anyone still interested.
Seached the web and other GB forums and found nothing. Just have to wait for official release :)
yes, though you don't have to stick with the strap that matches your stock FSB. For example my Q6600 & wolfdale CPUs run great on strap D 2.66D on ddr2 & 3.33D on ddr3.
What would you advise, i have the E8600 including the TW3X4G1800C8DF, and to get to 4500MHz this is what i'm planning to do:
Robust Graphics Booster Turbo
CPU Clock Ratio 10x
CPU Frequency 4.50GHz
CPU Host Clock Control Enabled
CPU Host Frequency (MHz) 450
PCI Express Frequency (MHz) 100
C.I.A.2 Disabled
Performance Enhanced With Standard
System Memory Multiplier 4.00D <<---- or 4.00B
DRAM Timing Selectable Manual
CAS Latency Time 8
DRAM RAS# to CAS# Delay 8
DRAM RAS# Precharge 8
Precharge delay (tRAS) 24
CPU/PCIEX Clock Driving 800mV
CPU Clock Skew Control Normal
(G)MCH Clock Skew Control Normal
System Voltage Control Manual
DDR3 Overvoltage Control (+)0.30
PCI-E Overvoltage Control Normal
FSB Overvoltage Control (+)0.10
(G)MCH Overvoltage Control (+)0.25V
Loadline Calibration Enabled
i am having trouble gettin to 3.4ghz with my quad! My multiplier is 9x and my fsb set to 376. The voltage is first set to manual at 1.325 and then auto. Computer never boots and everytime board switches back to auto and resets to 2.4ghz. All overvoltage controls were set to normal when i adjusted manually and graphics booster to auto. Same auto for ram. I am running two Corsair dominators 1066 2 x 1gb.
Are you adjusting the memory multi so that it will run @ or near native clocks? It will reset back to no over clock if the over clock failed. While trying this only adjust one setting at a time so as to know what is causing the problem.
Also make sure the DDR voltage is set properly for those sticks as this may be the cause of the failure to begin with.
Ok, I finally over clocked on this bios and as it has been sometime sense I used the board it seems stable. I will report back with more sooner this time tooQuote:

Latest BIOS for X48-DQ6 is the F8a
dear all, please excuse me if i make mistakes with this post but its my first time (virgin) my pc: x48t-dq6 rev 1.3, e8600(batchq823a612),ocz 2x2 pc10666 gold series and gskill 2x2 pc14400 4gbgt1 memory(separately) noctua nh-c12p, enermax infiniti720,velociraptor 150gb, thermaltake armor case. vista 64 bit. bios f6a also tried f4 and f5
my problem is that after spending many hours reading and trying to learn i still cannot get my pc to overclock using the bios by 1mhz. it will reach 390mhx using easytune 5 pro and setfsb but if i use the bios it reboots automatically 3 times . i have set pci to 100, disabled eist etc. increased ram voltage to 1.8v for ocz and 1.9v for gskill. have tried relaxing the ram timings but shouldnt (?) need to with such small increases. tried increasing cpu voltages . the board even reboots when setting everything back to stock . and after 3 attempts it boots normally into vista. i would be grateful for any help .
thank you .
