believe me that is not always the case , what i noticed it that GKX can run PC6400C3 with lower volts than the GMH at high frequencies results varyQuote:

did gkx get an upgrade? I thought it used to be -3e? Now it's -25e?
I'm loving these price drops!!! They've got me so excited lol... There are a bunch of sticks under $300 now that are using D9xxx!
Ballistix 667 down to $264
Ballistix 800 down to $273.50
GSkill HZ 800 down to $265
GSkill HZ 1000 down to $299
Wintec Ampx 1000 w/gkx down to $289
Buffalo Firestix 800 down to $239
If still on D9GMH the best choice :cool:Quote:

Vdimm 2.45V.
hey I'm after some ram, I was thinking of purchasing the ballistix 667, is it the best within the price range of £150 (its price here in the UK). Or is there anything better to go for? Also is there any difference between it and the 800 ballistix stuff?
they both should use gmh's. One's rated 800 4-4-4 and one's rated 667 3-3-3, both at 2.2v. Probably just internal binning and crucial determined some gmh are better than others. Or if they have a good supply (hell, I wouldn't be surprised since they're micron so they get first dibs really), could very well be same ram, just programmed differently.
The WINTEC AMPX reported as GKX last week back in stock still 290$

Back in post #251 he said he ordered this kit but I havn't heard anything from him since? At the moment their only $289 at the egg and I'm about to hit the "Order" button. Of course I'm a bit hesitent since noone seems to know for sure what their currenlty using? So if anyone has more recent info please post! I'll keep you guys updated if I get them, wish me luck!
The guy i quoted is the above post got it verfied as GKX but the pictures not there anymoreQuote:

All of them are 2x1GB DDR2 (except for one OCZ)
-Corsair Twin2X CL4 800Mhz
-OCZ Platinium rev 2.0 CL4 800Mhz
-OCZ Titanium CL4 800Mhz
-OCZ Titanium alpha CL4 1000 Mhz (800Mhz 3-3-3-8)
-PDP Patriot Dual XBLK 1000Mhz (800Mhz 3-3-3-8)
It's for Abit AW9D-MAX with E6600.
Thank you for hints.
It depends on how much you are willing to spend and how much those kits will cost youQuote:

off course you gona be lucky if that OCZ is the one that is not 2X1GB
theoretically the PDP should overclock better but not guaranteed on the other hand OCZ provide better support as well as over voltage protection up to 2.52V
decision is yours but you wont go wrong with any of those
BTW for curiosity how much they cost ?
remember you can always pic 4X1GB of slow DDR2 instead of 2X1GB fast DDR2 for more future proofing
Does any one know what rev this kit of Corsair 5400C4 is form Newegg?
The price is very good for $164 for a 2 gig kit.
What I'm looking for is if its using Micron ICs or not.

this should be sticky man
Not Micron D9 ICs. 100% sure.Quote:

just got 4x 1GB firestix from newegg and 3-3-3-8 2.4v cant boot windows :( another 100$+ down the drain.. :slapass: so sick and tired of ram :slapass: such is my luck
kemo6600, thanx for your work and for keeping all this info up to date.. :toast:
maybe ill give gskill 8000 hz a try..
Is any chance of running these Corsairs 4x1GB with Command Rate 1T, not 2T ? Just asking...
Aside from CellShock, I don't remember D9GKX achieving great results like D9GMH has, unless I'm missing something.
