Exactly, just wondering what this chip would do under phase.:woot:Quote:

Nice results, so far your chip is about the same as my X6800, but maybe a little better ;)
As promised my SS at 4.25ghz, motherboard maxed without mods. No doubt this chip as more than 4.3 under water. Anxiously waiting for the arrival of the Commando.

First try Orthos blend at 3.9.......Looks promising so far. Dam this rad is making a huge difference.

Thats freakin' awsome ... 4.2 Ghz.
Nice results! I cant seem to find a Xeon 3070 instock anywhere with a decent price, so I might pick up a 3060 (NE and ZZF sold out even :() from somewhere like page computers.
Let me know if you guys can find any good deals on them :(
That blows as I noticed you just sold your X6800, good for you. BTW, my system just BSOD roughly 5hrs into orthos blend. Not sure why it would do that instead of just failing orthos, is that strange or what. Most definitely not a temp issue maybe a slight increase in vcore or vdimm will fix the BSOD.Quote:

from my hours and hours and hours of orthos testing, usually a BSOD will be caused by not enough vcore. try upping it a bit to see if you gain stability. :)Quote:

The BSOD may have something to do with Orthos paging ur harddrives. Meaning its working it overtime.Quote:

I don't understand your statement:confused: You have 2 3060's in your sig and you sold 1, why pick up another?Quote:

Obviously 3.9 is not possible at the moment, I don't believe its the temp on the Xeon as I didn't see it reach over 74c while I was awake and normally my room drops 2c or so during the nite so if anything temps should of lowered. Possibly the NB is the culprit will need to back down cpu and test higher fsb.

:)
So far, I have some strange observations:
1) The temps seems incredible! My heatsink is barely warm to the touch and yet I'm averaging 80-83C under Orthos load.
2) 1.8Vmch is more stable for me at this speed than 1.9-2.0Vmch.
3) I have a 120mm fan on my TTBT which can push >100cfm@2300rpm yet the temps barely drop ~5C. I prefer a whisper-quiet 24/7 rig so I lowered the rheo. Should I re-seat the cooler on the cpu?
4) Getting into Windows at stock voltage was possible but I bluescreen/rebooted every time I ran Orthos for between 3-20minutes until I upped the Vcore to 1.425V.
5) This was pretty easy, thanks to you guys blazing the way with the info in this post. :)
Thinking about 3.8 now... ;)
good job on the 8+ horus of blend on that board.
I can't get more than 4-18 minutes hehehe...
I'm beginning to question the contact of the IHS with any HSF.
I've noticed that if I don't put enough AS5 on the IHS, parts of the IHS do not touch the waterblock i have...
this may be the reason why your temps are so high.
i'd like to give this chip a lap :) but don't want to risk it...
when you get a chance, can you PM me your mobo settings?
vmch, vcore, vdimm, memset 3.0 settings, etc...
thanks!
Thats rather impressive for blend, I cant even get near that.Quote:

I have an E6600 that is JUNK. Only hits 3.3
Anyone have a 6600 they want to part with that can clock higher (24/7 stable for GAMING) ?
Individual Skill and cooling are the limiting things.Quote:

Honestly, I think its about exactly the same as my L628B167, only this stupid Abit walls me hard @ 435fsb :(Quote:

So beating the Prime drum doesnt' make music to my ears.
