Pull out the battery, worked for me when that happened.
I am rather concerned, as many others are I'm sure by this rather poor overclockability. Was really looking forward to getting an X6800 retail in hopes that the newer stepping would allow for much better clocking, but I guess that won't be the case. :-/ From how my 6700 did, I expected 4.2 fully stable and 4.5 benchable to be doable on simple single stage cooling...however this would require around 4.1GHz benchable on air which doesn't seem to be even close to happening.
It is very odd though...historically the highest end chips from Intel have always been a clear step ahead of the rest. (955XE vs 940, 670 vs 660, even Dothan 780 vs 770, etc) Hopefully this is only one blip on the radar. (Sorry redpriest :p:)
