It's most likely the difference between VTT and Vdimm. You should try to up your VTT one or two notches, respectively if that did not help try to increase Vdimm one or two notches instead.

guys will the AuzenTech forte sound card fit on this board or does the NB cooler block it?
Nope, won't fit into the x1 slot, it's too long. Unless you use watercooling.
And damn, wait 41s between posts, WTH!
This board rocks! I have had absolutely no issues with this as a workstation running a Xeon, 295gtx and 12GB mem for several months. I beat on it daily and not a hitch in fairly heavy graphics and video work powering a 30" and a 24". Medium OC to 4.2ghz with 6-6-6-16 1t 1600 mem, intel SSD, torture rack, water cooled. CPU runs cool at 35C and linx stable. I was quiet on this board for months but now it has passed my tests so I will say cheers to Evga, I am sold.
BTW - it's like the easiest OC I ever had to set up, maybe 2 hours or so to get it right.
now that i have read through all 53 (53 pages for me in total) pages...i just have 2 questions...
what kind of over clocks are people getting with these new cpus
batch numbers starting in:
39xxA
39xxB
and how high are they over clocking
that is without ln2/phase change/le/dice
so air/water/chilled water. anything where the temps cant get far below zero..so the base would be 0 degrees C
thanks.
Guys, when you finish booting into windows, what the POST Code supposed to be?
I've just noticed mine and it shows 22 ?!?!?
Lol mine is 22 too, if you check eleet you ll notice that this is the cpu temp :)
LOL, I was like what the hell is 22 ?
Then refer to the manual I was like .....Ha
Hmm, does the classified overvolts the DRAM a little ?!?!
I set it in BIOS at 1.65 and in eleet it's 1.69 ?!?!
Dram by 0.02 iirc. All other stuff isn't being overvolted. ELEET voltage monitoring is off.
I set in bios 1.63 and eleet shows 1.69. Even worse
use voltmeter if you want exact voltages  real voltages should be very close to what you set in BIOS. software monitoring can only be so accurate.
Classified is overvolting only the memory. 1.65v set in BIOS measured 1.68. All other voltages +- 0.01v measured with DMM.
Nothing scary, but I expected better from it in this field!
219 bclk seems to be all I can OC too without PCI-e problems. I have an e760; I have tried both an i7-920 and w3520. Both run Bclks up to 219 with no problem, but at 220 the video response starts to get very laggy and freezes up, and I've seen PCI-e related bsod's. I've tried upping the voltages, qpi, ioh, ich. I've tried throwing in an old vid card (incase it frys) and i've tried pci-e clocks from 100 up to 108.
Does anyone have any tips on what settings need to be tweaked to help acheive higher bclks? Its the only thing holding back my OCs right now; with the help of this colder weather i'm running LinX stable right now at 22 x 219 4.599mhz.
Anyone care to explain a little, if i will have any benefit from inrceasing CPU and VTT PWM Frequency from 800Khz and 250Khz?
trn try pci-e 105~110, CPU Impedance = less & QPI Signal Compensation = less
Memory pwm is indeed overvolting... the BIOS/Eleet readouts are quite spot-on.
Man, this onboard audio is so crap on the classified !!!
Is this enough to request a RMA, or should you just undervolt the RAM? I'd hate to kill a $280 set of RAM. :(
Can someone check the vcore as well? I've been noticing a ~.02 overvolt on the vcore setting, and I'm not sure if it is a software error ir if the motherboard is actually overvolting.
EDIT: It seems the CPU VTT and NB Core are overvolting as well. Can anyone confirm this?
Nothing to rma because of that... it's usual w/classified. You just have to have an eye on the vdimm readout as it's - as i already said - spot-on. Real Vtt is up to 0.1V lower than shown by eleet. IOH and ICH are slightly overvolting, but that's minimal.
Over- or undervolting boards are never a cause to request an rma - it's normal as parts tend to differ within a given margin. I even noticed changing psus often does influence voltage output as well.
i have also noticed the overvolting of memory, I have my memory in bios set at 1.62; and with vdroop on even at idle & load my memory is at 1.66V
Yesterday i mount Classified 760 with 920 D0.
Excelent results for the moment, 3.6ghz 1.17v and 38º IDLE ( here in Chile is summer time!! really nice 25-28º degrees celcius on ambien temp :cry ). I promise post at night with linX and configuration SS.
At least i reach 223 bclk so i'm happy now

What hardware and cooling TOOL?
Any one having issues with the on board Audio?
For me the audio quality is low, Bass is low and volume is so low !!
:shakes:
For all those saying dimm volt are overvoltaging... have you guys measured with a voltimeter in the measure points on the board?
920 D0 ( i will post batch later ) + Noctua U12P Lapped
Classified E760
OCZ Platinum 3x2GB pc14400 8-8-8 @ 1.63v
Pcpower&Cooling Silencer 750w
Sapphire HD 5770 @ mod bios.
Win7 Ultimate 64Bits
I put a 80mm delta fan for the NB and VGA on the second Slot at 8x, i don't play to much so is the same for me.
That's one sweet D0 you got there.
Any people running phase change on a classified here? But from a glance it looks like most people only use water or air. I need a board that can break 240bclk and beyond. Current board only hits 237bclk and it isn't high enough.
Crappy OS and crappy config on mems, this mobo and CPU have the enough power to go under Dry ice.

I would like to know if CPU and VTT PWM frequency make any difference at all in overclocking. The only diffence i got was 3-4 C more on my PWM and 1-2 C more on Cpu when i changed from default to max values. Otherwise the vtt volt and vcore was exactly the same to pass linx. Any info on this?
Have a question, just picked up the 759. Can I run 2x 295 in SLI using the 1st and 3rd slots?
2nd 295 arrived I installed in 3rd slot, attached sli cable and started rig. It gets to desktop runs for a minute or so gives 4 quick beeps and shutsdown and restarts. Put card in second slot and same thing. Took out my card installed 2nd card in First slot and 4 beeps and shutdown. Put my card back in and system runs fine .
2nd card or psu to consider faulty.
Does your first card work in slot 2/3?
Will increasing the PCIe bus speed have an affect on PCI cards? I can swap my soundcard over to a PCI one if needed.
Okay, I assume beeps are coming from your classified. :D
According to the following website it's a RAM?! error...
http://en.kioskea.net/contents/pc/bios.php3
Did you already try slots 2-4 in combination w/out slot 1? It's weird problem indeed... if PSU-related, try to use other pcie connectors (maybe from another rail).
Some people say, it could hurt your vid cards, but I cannot imagine it does. It has an effect on NIC, USB and some other on- or offboard devices (such as raid cards). Be careful an do some stresstesting. You WILL notice, if some of the devices die. :D
Looks like a XP 64 problem. I installed Win7 64 and Running both cards in slots 1-3 with SLI enabled no problem so far.
True, more then 2 gpu cores = vista/win7 only.
Thanks guys. Do you know if there is a way to use the HDMI output in SLI config?
lol... problem solved. Weird acting of winxp 64 though. I thought it would just deny to support more than 2 gpus, but work nevertheless...
Hmm... i just measured again to make sure about DIMM Voltage...
In Eleet say 1.67v, i have it set in BIOS 1.65v, and measuring with voltimeter gives me 1.634v. All in IDLE.
Under load, ELEET show 1.66v and with voltimeter 1.62v.
I have an X58 Classified E759.

Forget the voltage, i'm really drunk last night jajajajaj.
PD: i can't pass 223 bclk stable for superpi , that's sad because this chip requires very low voltage to get high frecuency.
Hi.
I try with 101mhz to 115mhz and nothing.
I have the same problem and also tried 101mhz to 115mhz. Maybe is the heat because I'm in Brazil and its hot as hell this days.
I just ordered an EK Classified full block!
I'll receive it later next week, hopefully with my Silverstone ZM1200M PSU and then I'll overclock the hell out of my 950 !!!
Hello.
My overclock is a 30Cº Ambient temperature
I'm only 2 hours with her and managed to get blck 230, motherboard 230 blck booting in 106 pci Express
I think I sold the motherboard Shamino :D

Where can I get that Wallpaper???
I do not have disc, could someone please email me a copy?
hardass1@comcast.net
I sure would appreciate it.
You can download from this page: http://www.hwmania.org/forum/evga/73...allpapers.html
Sapphire hd 5770 @ mod bios.
Maybe i can try with a 8400gs or 7300LE
I'm with a hd 4870 @ mod bios to 800/1000. I tried another vga but it was worst. I read in this forum a guy who swapped the vga and was able to break the 223 bclk wall.
Most of the time it's just the settings with the latest bios revisions...
so guys i have a wierd issue and i dont know if its my soundcard or the board itself. For some reason the board will not detect my creative xfi pci card, when i try to install drivers the software says no creative product is found in this system, nothing is in device manager either. The card works on my gigabyte p45 board and my brothers olds chool 478 board. PCI raid card works fine on my evga board. So the PCI slot works, but wont see my creative card. Any ideas or tricks? Thanks
DOH! didnt even think about bios update, i will try that and report back.
so heres what i did:
Bios update: still didnt work
Creative Patch for this specific issue: "no creative product detected in system"
Happened to get my Antec tpq1200 from fedex, installed the PSU. Guess what, out of no where the sound card works. How wierd... im wondering if now that im using two 8 pin motherboard connectors that provide more power? Im not too sure but heckl it saved me from buying a new soundcard.
but it works. Not sure how it started to work but i think the PSU had something to do with it strangely enough.
I have a problem with my asus xonar, when i put this card in any pci-e slots mobo will not boot showing FF code, any one know how to fix that? xonar is working fine with other (asus) mobo.
Are all 759's, Limited Editions?
New beta bioses are out! :D
Added "Turbo Performance" option !!
Turbo performance seems to have problems with dram multiplier -> 10x/12x do not work, I read. It's being set to 8x instead.
Been looking at getting a Classified 760 for my planned uber intel build however despite much searching and also asking on EVGA forums I cant find a conclusive answer to my questions regarding using ether the Prolimatech Mega Shadow or Thermalright True Black on this board.
I would like to be able to use a high end air cooler such as the above mentioned ones in the traditional facing case rear exhaust orientation and also be able to use memory with large heatspreaders/sinks such as G.Skill Perfect Storm's, Corsair Dominator GT etc.
However from what ive read so far i am unable to find out to a high degree of certainty what the situation is, and therefore cant go ahead and start ordering for the new build..
They will fit fine, just don't use 38mm fans.
So as to try and avoid fitting issues ive been looking at Triple Chan DDR3 kits which don't have silly big heat spreaders on as the margins for error with kits with them on is a lil to close for my liking.
Anyone have any thoughts on what would happen with the following(Classy 760/i7 920) -
Geil Black Dragon 12800
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=8&subcat=1389
G.Skill HK 12800
http://www.memoryc.com/computermemor...triplekit.html
G.Skill NQ 12800
http://www.tekheads.co.uk/product/GS...Kit_25117.html
Or have any other suggestions ?
Just don't use 38mm fans and you're golden. Can use 1 meter tall RAM if you like then.
