Thanks for your reply.
By the way, how do you drain the liquid from your system? Any tip on that would nice for us newbies.

Thanks for your reply.
By the way, how do you drain the liquid from your system? Any tip on that would nice for us newbies.
I have my "patent" for this :)
First i made some "handy pump":
http://www.abload.de/img/dscf0066kyu6.jpg
I use this "monster pump" :D to suck all liquid from loop ( install to res ). But before that i must unscrew this:
http://www.abload.de/img/dscf00672b09.jpg
After that ... my loop is dry ;) and i can demount all hardware etc.
Duration of this "operation" - 1 min
That is a VERY VERY smart idea, thankyou for sharing it with us Mr.Dentist.
I have been thinking about how to drain my loops easily in the future and not really found any nice solution. This sounds like a really cool idea, have to give it a try. Is that fitting your highest point and you can still suck the liquid out?
Lol
why didn't I think of that. Nice one
Now I need to make pump for myself.
If you made a video for this, i reckon lot of people interested in watercooling would watch it.
Plus we could see it how easy it works.
Kindly make a video next time you are planning to drain your system.
Again, thank you for sharing this with us
What a great idea! With these secrets revealed a can finally carry out my master plan!!! (insert evil laugh here)
My opinion is a little late, but I'm glad you are going with custom backplates for the gpus instead of using one VRAM block. The VRAM block just look to bulky on your setup. I think the backplates are going to look a lot better.
-TadZilla
that`s really a good idea!! simple and stylish... :D
either a regular backplate or both need that massive thing.
ram needs the cooler... if for no other reason than it looks awesome
Malik good ideia but i dont get it how it really works .. its a kind of pump i guess
Nice time you drain the system do a video ! :D
OK :) I will make video next time ;)
Thanks
I'll look forward for it.
Hey Malik
I got question regarding coolant.
You mentioned on this thread that you mixed primochill bloody red with feser one. Feser one doesn't recommend mixing fluids even with different colours from Their brand.
I want to get special green colour. Is it ok to mix them? Did you have any problem mixing different brand coolants to get the desire colour?
No, i don't have any problems with that.
QPI rev.2 - ready:

malik. first of all amazing builds you have man...two thumbs up. just wanted to ask a quick question though if you dont mind. the red build that you had done before, can you please tell me which coolant did u use? i really want to get the same blood red colour that you have in your build, but im a bit confused as to which coolant i should get. Thanks
hi Malik :)
Your work is wonderful! Amazing! Very beautiful:clap:
So many blocks and rads with only 1 pump?
Phil
Very nice build Malik!
Question: Do you notice any temp differences when you added the second SLI fitting? I know there are alot of topics regarding this but I'm just curious :D
I have mixed feser one uv red with primochill bloody red
Yes, and everything is ok, performance is also very, very good.
Yes, after added the second SLI connector temps are better on gpu about 2-3 degrees, and flow is better about 5-8l/h
Hey Malik
I've been following your worklog for a while now and all i can say is it looks absolutely fantastic! Like a work of art!
One question though, what blue coolant did you use that you have in the latest pictures?
Cheers
Malik,
Which version of the BP D-Plugs did you use between your vid cards?
I presume they are only one slot away from each other, so curious which length of D-Plug fittings you used. They look like the 35mm, BP-WTP-C38 ones, but not sure.
Thanks
So I'm back again after a long break with the busy family. Now it's time to water coanother rig. I want to get some input on whats new during the last year for cooling. I loked through a lo of the cools pix you guys posted. Great job.
What can you guys say about these parts for the new water transition?
Here's my runner up for CPU; Swiftech Apogee XT CPU Waterblock but I' like to know more about the EK lighted clear top model used in this forum. For Rad I am leaning towards the XSPC RX240 Dual 120mm Radiator but have took notice to the Phobya G-Changer 240. Can anybod here confirm if the same x58 NB/SB link type blocks fit the X58 micro Rampage II Gene? What is a good strong but yet quiet pump for today?
I had my eye on the Eheim HPPS i High Power 12V Water Pump or the Laing D5 Vario/Swiftech MCP655. My old one had the fan wire sensor I like that. My end goal here is for a quiet daily overclocked rig but with room inside to chill for fun overclock tweaks on new parts when needed.
I plan to cool the i7 920 in my old mobo moved to the Gene and a single GTX-260, NB/SB, Mosfet, RAM and hard drive water bags.
I'm totally open to other to other high end parts if ypu have links or pix I ca see.
WOW thats serious blockage
just get better
what temp difference did you notice by going from the ht too hf cpu block
also what insert plate did you use in your hf
and final what size bitspower comression fittings and tubing are you using
i'm falling in love again !!!! :D
Brass backplates ready... now they waiting for chrome ;)
Sorry guys for quality of pics - mobile camera

http://www.abload.de/img/201002125132utk.jpg
Put wc block for the 9800gt also! :D
I was hoping to get some insight on picking a good CPU water block to match the Rad I picked. I decided to go with the XSPC RX240 Dual 120mm for now. But I want to make sure I get a good matched cpu block to work in a ysytem with that rad. I wanted the EK Supreme HF origionally but liked the look of the led's in the LT version. How do you guys think each one of these will do and with what type of pump will I want to look into? Can the HF be fitted with led's for looks later? Will the LT at least match or outperform the Swiftech Apogee XT Extreme?
lol, love your name...
i thought i've read that the xt beats all... no?
Indeed it does, although it's also rather restrictive. Second most restrictive in Bundymania's test, to be more precise: http://www.abload.de/img/durchfluss-2jq1m.jpg
And here we go... some problems in project. Plexi crashed in qpi and ram module, CNC have NA status ( i have only one custom backplate ) ... ehhh :(:(:(
ETA Project: unknown
So now it's looks like this:

http://www.abload.de/img/6gd6o.jpg
thats very nice malik, stunning!
That are bad news, but awesome shots. Why did your QPI Block crashed? Did you want to rebuild it or did you want something else?
Great shot as always Malik. There is a lot of inspirations in it. I like red theme the most, but is yours build. When you`re starting next one? :D
I don't know why this plexi crashed, but next one i want make from brass ( i'm talking about top of QPI and RAM block ), and of course chrome ;)
All new project will be make in new case. In this one i want just finish this few things.
i want to see this plexi from brass. Is he from this forum? Next project, that would be fanthastic ;)
anyway you could explain how to make those aluminum shrouds you have in there ??????????
dude, can you even use that computer from time to time...
seems that you're doing it over and over all the time!
I have currently the older Apogee GTX block with optional copper top for my olde X48 Rampage. How different is the new XT and as far as low resistance for low speed quiet operation at night gaming use? Who can comment on that EK LT block fitted with led's earlier in this tread? I'd likt to try something with color if it is in close performance to what I'm used to with my old GTX for now. I read the HF version is better at higher low for top end cooling but not as great on low flow idle temps low speeds. Is this pretty much the norm for a block like that due to its higher restriction jetting?
Love the blue.
Have you chosen next case for the job?
BTW, what do you think about new Silverstone FT02?? Is it worth this money?
My friend and I have a discussion about it. He wants to buy it and put in it a 5870, I know it`ll fit there, but I think is to small for it. What case you`ll buy for this GPU? He want midi tower.
Sorry for OT. ;)
malik
which pump do you recommend? I was thinking of buying XSPC. what do you reckon?
For now im thinking about 2 cases - but i dont decide yet.
Your question about FT02 - in my opinion, this is not so good case for LC.
That depends of LC setup... how many blocks, rads etc.
I use swiftech mcp355 with poweradjust controler.
im planning LC with 3 rads, cpu/MB/video/ram blocks. 1/2 ID tubing.
how do you find swiftech mcp355?
heymalik can you share how you made those shrouds
I can never get enough of this thread, the pictures are just amazing.
Malik! love your work
please show us photo of desktop from outside
Here you have panorama view:

Nice desk you have here :) Chair looks comfy as well. Is this Alcatraz view on a right picture?
nice house, gratulation :D btw nice working place and a very cool chair :D
Love the wood, beautiful color.
wow love the setup!
 Love your work, very clean. Looking forward to the next project. As a woodworker by trade, you have a very nice set-up and the finish on that looks GREAT.
If i didnt know any better I would guess thats Cherry Wood or mahogany but its hard to tell from the pic.

Great picks Malik, like always!
The coolant color is great!
Love the 2 sli fittings too
Why dont you use a 90 fitting instead of the bottom 45? i think that you will be able to route the tubing to the res more easy
Great pics as always. Hard to think thats the "old" camera. Makes me embarassed when I think about my camera (or photography skills)
What are you doing with the old camera?;)
I agree with Edward88... use a 90 on the bottom graphics card, and keep the 45 on the res, just rotate it to be parallel with the graphics cards.. it would give you a more clean horizontal look :)
it would still be curved when you look at it from above, but flat when you look from the side..Quote:
Yea but every other tube is curved, I think it looks better consistent.
well if your happy with it, im happy :) your the man, love your work.. its inspiring =DQuote:
believe me this was the best way. 90 degree fittings don't work in this place.
edit: soz im still learning how to use the quote thingy lol
I found two shots more:
http://www.abload.de/img/2xa2m.jpg
http://www.abload.de/img/1yxth.jpg
Malik, are you using some continuous lighting for your shots or it`s just a triple bulb lamp mirroring in tubes?
I think is time to buy some background for my shots, without this even best photos are not complete in my opinion.
BTW, please check you PM inbox if it`s possible, will be grateful for an answer. Now i`m waiting for new project and shots of yours brand new camera. :yepp:
Leave HS mate, get GF-1! :)
New toy arrived...

I'm still waiting for few things...lens, pilot, new tripod etc.
So now a lot of pratice and learing ;)
Good. No compact:) D90, dobry wybor:)
Sexy new Camera.
Hurry up and take some shots with it=P
Good choice on the camera I love mine
Lovely camera, lot of potential in it. My D80 is screaming for a change :(
Sometimes i use this to make photos:
http://www.abload.de/img/2x100mr_umb_namiot_allb38t.jpg
But when i make shots in pc with makro - i only use tripod and all manual settings.
PS.
My face looks like this ... :eek2: when i saw menu and functions in D90... that will be hard work :)
Yeah, menu is a small book. Few weeks and you'll use it like you are using Fuji now. But what a pleasure of making a good photo with correct settings.
First shot:
http://www.abload.de/thumb/1tudi.jpg
Congrats on the new camera, Malik - you already take ace photos, so things will only get better from here.
nice camera, nikon is the best!,but if you want something great and real, try nikon d3x.
good luck!
I don`t think that Malik needs that class of camera for what he`s doing. D90 is a brilliant SLR and as we can see Malik`s skills are great so what for that really expensive pro-class SLR. Like he said he need to learn how to use this one, what will be later we will see. I would like to see some shot with bigger depth of field. Exif is weird in this pic. So if it possible, please right down what was the setting of this shot.
Little OT
Now i practice outside ... Rookie photos:

Last one is best for me. Nice colours lot of details in a focus :)
Malik. i wish i could take pictures like you. i got a stupid Lumix Panasonic DMC-FX10 and the photos it takes are not good.
i just finished my my new build.
Motherboard EVGA X58 Classfied
EK CPU Waterblock, the rest all koolance blocks,
2 x 295 GTX with koolance block. got 2 x 360 TFC Radiators cooling my system.
The pc is great, All the temps are like 30c to 35c. Just need to learn how to take good pictures.
http://i677.photobucket.com/albums/v...g?t=1267453537
Any advise on my camera or somthing.:)
@shazbom
Isn't that psu pretty overkill? :D 1500w O_________o
Learing 24/7 :D
http://www.abload.de/img/aaaa94nm.jpg
This is it. Perfect DOF, details are sharp. Now you can take photos like this without tripod :) I want that CMOS sensor :( Lot easier to make some photos in a church :) But, back to thread. You`ve cut some colours in PS or used some option from a menu?
I built a chiller myself and i bought this psu for it but it didnt work out good, it made the water go 25c. so i put everything back on watercooling and i'm on 37c now. =)
see my Chiller attempts on youtube. The uv green and orange cables are for the chiller.

Shazbom, you`ve very good camera, you`re trying to make a photo to close to your case and probably without tripod. That`s the reason your photos are a little bit blurry and not razor sharp. Remember that because of side panel with glass your camera is focusing on a glass, not on a equipment inside. That`s the problem with many compact cameras, if you can set your focus manually, shots will be sharp. If you have a questions please write me a PM, I`ll try to help.
Take care :)
