Thanks, and, what a pity, since i don't think CABNE is good for overclocking, did it reach high frequency?Quote:

Try reseating the block? Or time to go lidless?
So any results with this chip?...I will receive 3 of them this friday I hope it will do as well as my privious chip... :rolleyes:Quote:

BTW, CABYE 0540FPBW seem to be a little better than CABYE 0540APMW. Actually, it's difficult to conclude because of the small number of feedbacks concerning the CABYE 0540APMW, but CABYE 0540FPBW are doing high if not like good old CABNE 05~~ at least they exeeced 3GHz on a general basis.
I hope to post my results very soon ;)
OK I`m waiting...I had an FPBW but...unfortunately it is gone...R.I.P...:(

Well, it's not a bad waterblock seating. Dropping to 2.9GHz/1.5V drops load temp to 50C. Still too high, but damn that's a huge temp differential.
That sucks.Quote:

Here is the thread I opened... There are also some pics. I hope my new Opteron 146 will perform so good as my old one...Quote:

my CAB2E was similar, 36C idle 52C load @ 3ghz on WC, heard other CAB2E's running hot aswell but im now running 3.1ghz 33C idle 38C load with no IHS :DQuote:

I have problems installing WinXP in an old HDD that I use in my testing plateform because of non-bootable CD... so results for the CABYE 0540APMW are not for now... additionally I have just received a 144 CABNE 0540BPMW; Are there any feedbacks about this stepp out there?
EDIT: I've just seen very negative feedbacks about 144 CABNE 0540BPMW
well, i think i'm gonna ask this again:
i have a very strange problem. My opty 146 is absolutely stable @ 300 x 9 @ 1.3v. This with bios 623-3, memory at 1:1 and everything set to default except 2.5-4-3-7. Now, when i want to test at 270 x 10, no matter what voltage i use, i get a BSOD within a few minutes. How on earth could this be possible? I mean if my mem can do 300 1:1, 270 should be a breeze, isn't it? Also, at 280x10 or 290x10 it's same problem: BSOD's allover the place. Please help!
What do you define as stable for the 300x9?Quote:

stable = 8h+ prime95 custom test w/ in-place FFT's changing every 15min.
There's something wrong here, i know my mem can do up to 310 1:1 (G.Skill PC4400LE TCCD).
run memtest86 test 5 and 8 with both (300 and 270). change your timings to 2.5-3-3-7@270mhz and drive strength options. Also do not increase your chipset voltage (LDT voltage) this can make your memory very unstable. Strange indeed. what is your vdimm? for 300 and 270?Quote:

i can see 3.4-3.5 in it's near future :)
have you got some screen shots of it running prime/sp2004?
2.9ghz on stock is quite nice ;)
Also currently testing a 148 - CABYE 0543FPMW
Dont have a problem hitting 2900Mhz with stock vcore, though there is a jump to hit 3Ghz...Well im not sure what it is but i think im having heat related issues as im on AIR.
Going to try with water next week so i will have a better indication!

Also ran stressspu for almost 24Hrs and just completed burning with cpuburnK7 for 8 hrs (290HTT*10)
Nice Chip r2 and what are your Loadtemps on Air and your Ambient Temp?
amp
MY cabne 0530 apmw is rediculously hot too. It is hotter than all the other cabne's on here. Mine idles at 45c and loads at 56c without the IHS and with an aquagate mini.....not the best water cooling by far, but better than air no doubt. It used to get up to over 60c with the zalman 7700cu, but I would stop running it. This is at 3.0g with 1.5v.
I have reset the block and as5 several different times, but it is still a devilishly hot ass chip.
Thanks :)Quote:

Load Temp: At the clocks i posted it hits 39c running super_pi 32Mb, 40-41c Stresscpu and 42-43c running cpuburnK7. This is according to Probe 2 and Speedfan at stock vcore.
But i think the temp readings are wrong! Prob should add 8-15c...(assuming)
People have been reporting that their DFI Expert boards (In OCAU and i4memory forums) are also have wrong readings with Opterons, some say you should add 15-20c.
i ran memtest86 yesterday, no errors. LDT & chipset voltage @ default. vDimm = 2.7v, any higher and memtest starts to give errors. Could my memory be broken? Or is undervolting (running 2700 @ 1.3v for a long time) damaging my cpu?Quote:

Had a similar problem with OCZ 4200 Plats, ran perfectly for some time and suddenly they stopped! I kept getting BSODs no matter what settings i used (Yes, even @stock)(did load in WinXp using 2T but still crashed)...Not sure what caused the problem but had to rma the kit.Quote:

obviously this isn't the 11hr run .....i had it on the 10x multi to find out where my memory topped out on this chip ....now back to 11x
0543 cabye looks like a decent week the few others i've seen are getting similar results.
