And the USB doesn't start flaking out after 230bclk?
Printable View
Yes, I tried last BIOS, but it turned out that the best results of Pi 1M I had with bios 0901 and the highest bclk with BIOS 0011 but I don't pretend to extensive tests because I haven't thoroughly tested (as some people here:clap:).
No, at least so far I haven't had a problem with USB on boot with bclk 232. Yesterday I faced this problem, but after increasing bclk in Windows up to 238 and I had a BSOD with an error related to USB.
Is it coupled with cpu pll?
I've had 5 i7's of the 930 and 950 flavors... my first 930 has been the best 'performer' needing the lowest voltage to do 4.2ghz at 200bclk... I'm having to push core voltage up to about 1.38 on all the chips except my first, which needs about 1.37.
I popped one of the 950's into a gigabyte x58a ud3r board, and it only needed 1.28v to do 4.2 when i bumped the qpi pll up to 1.16 from 1.10...
sigh...
might be time to dump asus i guess...
Anyone know if the 1102 Bios has anymore fixes or updates other than just support for the 990x?
Picked up a new R3E yesterday and it came with 1102 bios from the factory. Must be latest batch i guess.
Still gives me sleep mode problems with my i7 920 though. It goes into sleep mode and then fires right up again straight away.
Any fixes ?
hey guys ... if anyone have any idea or experienced this before with this board .. i just finished setting up my build and this board is not detecting my second gtx 480 card !! anyone experienced something like this with the R3E ?
any advice would be very appreciated

Can the Asus R3E run 480GTX @ Tri SLI?
Hi folks!
Does anybody know if a Xeon X5650 is running on the REIII ? If it does which BIOS version would you suggest?
Thanks for your help!
Mike.
SLI/CrossFireX On-Demand
The board features SLI/CrossFire on Demand technology, supporting up to four graphics cards in a 3-Way SLI or CrossFireX configuration. Whichever path you take, you can be assured of jaw-dropping graphics at a level previously unseen.

Thx ppl, the reason i ask is that when going Tri SLI the PCI-E wil drop to 16x8x8 and i didtent know if the 480GTX will be able to get the right "juice" if you get me?
Anyone using CPU-Z have the issue of no voltage showing up within the program? I just updated to 1.56 and it doesn't my voltage at all. I noticed the above screen shot shows a 980X with 40V!, isn't that about 38.8v too much?
Hi! The motherboard has a slot for fan OPT_FAN 1...why is it needed?
First, take newest linpack from Intel's site and update LinX with it, or download pre-updated LinX from LinX 4.5GHz club.
Then, increase your UnCore/Memory speed besides Core speed.
4400/2133/1066 gives ~60GFLOPS
4400/4000/2133 gives ~85GFLOPS
Nooo... It's just about right for winter, no additional heating needed. :ROTF:
Slot? You mean fan header?
You can plug a thermal sensor to OPT_TEMP1 and set fan speed in BIOS depending on temperature measured. Same goes for 2 and 3. Nice feature, I'm using it for VRM and NB.
