I think NKresho got the best chip that I have seen from that C batch. I doubt though without some kind of xtreme cooling it will do 4.5ghz linx. My chip is a 1.175vid, it passed blend at 4500mhz 14hrs but have tried many times to get it to pass linx at 4500, temps get to hot and it just wont do it, even with cold AC blowing on my rad. Only reason to keep trying would be to get the chip in that linx thread, other than that I prefer a good blend run over linx any day to test stability.

Well I am going to get on that list one way or the other with a Yorkie, I have an F1EE coming this week, as well as another C batch Q9650 with a 1.23 VID so it is very cool running chip and I think one of those will do it.

thats impressive L0ud!!! what sort of voltages are you using - PLL,vTT,GTLs etc....

and have you run linx yet??? interesting to know the sort of Gflops this beast pumps out!!

I can get it stable at 4.3 GHz on air (prime only, LinX way too hot), but I'm board limited after that as I'm using an X48 Rampage Extreme. Does very well for an X48 though, better than the P5Q Deluxe and Maximus II Formula I tried with it.

100% airconditioned air going through my 220 rad and absolutely no ambient
air in the WCing setup.AC coming from the vent hose is about 5c in early morning
and 10c at the hottest part of the day.ugly but it works

Thats a great idea for the rad radaja, any condensation issues?

none so far,been doing it on and off for a year or more now.

linx gets way too hot and I get a restart before the first pass no matter what the settings or voltages, this chip shoots in to the 80's like its no bodies business so no more linx until it goes under cold which will be very soon and then just then maybe. I also have a higher VID chip coming which I hope will do 4.5 linx stable.

my voltages are all default except:

vcore 1.37500
vtt 1.34
MCH 1.4
VDIMM 2.12

the reference values are .785/.800

very true,room has to be very cool too.i have two AC units running and ambients are also very cool,thats how my ram and MB/NB stays cool too.:D
this setup works better in my case with the ac blowing through the rad into the case so it all very cold all the time:up:

You must have a pretty low Dew Point in your computer room due to the AC. Nice idea with the rad cooling :up:

you guy make me wanna pull the pi 9600 again and up the voltages , with those i seem to not get pass 4250 stable , me and andressio tried a bit but think 1.1 board seems to not like pi 9600

my UD3R is rev 1.1 and the PI's work fine on this board, something else is causing your instability.

i put a thermochill 120 on case and plan on havin a/c ducted to it:D

but i dont like to freeze:rofl: and if water gets too cold gotta put a/c temp higher to avoid condensation
if i were to run linx i leave it to the max a few min before i start

nope...he is right...most UD3P 1.1 have issues with the 9600

yes mate we tested a lot with some friends here and it was a no go, just went to the rev 1.0 and all runs like a charm

You were right, guys :)
I oced my Q9650 for 450x9 for now @ 1,25volts. 5 hour Prime64bit running is stable.
Couldn`t you post your 500x8 and 500x9 bios setting for Q9650 on Maximus II Formula please :up:

i dont think there are very many stable 8/9x500 templates for the Q9650+ maxIIformula

And i need performance level 8 ofcourse :)
