Hmm.. ~scratches head~... Ok, so my mb arrived and inside the box is one CD. The label of the disk says:
LANPARTY UT/LT UTILITY CD
P35 Series Ver. 002
- Chipset Drivers
- Audio Drivers
- RAID Drivers
- Network Drivers
- Tools
...since I'm preparing to swap out the mb, I was trying to create a Slipstream'd XP install CD with the DFI drivers already patched in. So, I put the disk in the tray and iTunes wants to play it! I figure something just got out of whack, so I cancel that and point my browser at it... sure enough, there's just one file listed ("File 7 of 15.cda" or something like that).
So, it looks like I got a bad driver CD - sigh.
Anyway, I went to the DFI driver page and there's not much there for the LT, but I assume I can just grab the driver files for the UT board (?)
- If I'm not planning to run a RAID setup, do I need to worry about installing the RAID drivers at all?
- Anyone know what the "Intel INF Utility" is? Is that the basic chipset drivers? Should I just install this after the OS? (the documentation is contradictory - stating that the OS MUST be installed first, then giving instructions on how to pre-install the .inf package before the OS).
- Anything else I should look out for?
I don't have a floppy, but I do have a USB stick I can use to update the BIOS with (I assume I should use the latest release BIOS).
Thanks.
