Yeah, I know he meant that model of ram, but I was under the impression the pc16000 hyperX use Elpida Hyper IC's. Corsair managed to identify the faulty Hyper IC batches, but AFAIK Kingston did not attempt to do this - I know of people who's kits died, and so did the replacement kit, and the next replacement kit etc.
I have run them up to DDR3-1800 MHz 6-6-4-20 1T tRFC 60 and DDR3-1826 MHz 6-7-4-20 tRFC 60 @ 1.76v on a Rampage Extreme (Here) but they perform better on an X58 than X48. That voltage is bench only too I wouldnt recommend it for 24/7. They easily do DDR3-1600 6-7-6-18 1T @ <1.60v on X58.
