Here on Israel there is a huge market also, i guess picked the wrong store to buy from but now i will try pressure them as much as possible, any case they have sent the mobo already to ASUSTek, hoping they will send me a new one.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you... :)
I now use bios 0804, what's the experience for overclocking with the newest bios(1004)? is it better/worse?
and other things that are better/worse?
I noticed a little faster boot overall. My OC on 1004 is the same as I had on 0804.Quote:

I have a strange issue with my mobo. while i'm stable at 525x8 (ram can do 550+ stable)i get some random orthos blend only failures sometimes(after that blend fails instantly).the only fix is to turn off and back on the hole system.I thought it was inpropper insulation but it's not.
So WTF is going on with this mobo????
Salvation is coming with abit quad gt.
Anyone know how to install ATK 0110 virtual device with Vista? I could not install the one on the ASUS download page.
So is this it? It's on this page.. http://support.asus.com/download/dow...-SLI&type=BIOS
My PCI-E Link is stuck at 1x when I overclock. What can I do to fix that
What bios are you on, Kenton?
What voltages are you using?
What is your pci freq set at?
did i install vista 32 bit wrong? in my bios i have my raptor and seagate sata set as IDE (i changed it to ACHI after installing vista and it wouldn't boot). during the install, i installed these drivers (V1.17.6.4 2007/01/29 update
OS Vista 32bit / Vista 64bit
Description RAID_JMicronJMB36X11764_Vista.zip
JMicron JMB36X RAID Controller Driver V1.17.6.4 for Windows 32bit/64bit Vista.(WHQL).
JMicron JMB36X PATA Driver V1.0.0.0 for Windows 32bit/64bit Vista.(Non-WHQL).)
my dvd-rw drive is called SCSI cdrom in vista now and when i burn a dvd with dvd decryptor, i don't get faster than 7x even though i have a 16x burner with 16x media (burned faster in xp before.) i hate vista.
I have an issue that doesn't seem to be addressed anywhere on the internet.
I'm running a P5B Deluxe WiFi, E6600 CPU, GeForce 7950GX, Cooler Master Real Power Pro 850W, and 2GB Corsair 8500C5D Memory, and a WD 500GB SATA Hard Drive. No other hardware, not even an audio card and audio is currently disabled in the BIOS. I'm not overclocking. The Ram is fine as both Memtest and the Memory Diagnostic program from MS can run all day without any errors.
I can install Windows XP Corp (integrated SP2) without a problem, but afterwards is where I have a problem...
If I run the Intel Chipset Identification Utility 3.2 it says I have a G965 Express Chipset instead of a P965.
If I run the Intel Processor Identification Utility, it freezes at the initial screen where there is a picture with a little girl looking in a glass window at Intel.
If I run the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility, it crashes at the initial blue screen and the typical window pops up with the typical "Chipset Installation Utility has encountered a problem and needs to close" I've tried the current version and a couple older versions and they all do the same thing.
I already started over with a clean install of Windows and tried to run the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility first, and it still crashed.
I'm stumped at this point so I could really use some help.
the Intel Chipset Identification Utility 3.2 dosent seem to work with drivers loaded on this board.
same with the processor ID tool windows based utility
the bootable Processor Identification Utility will work .
I wouldnt loose any sleep over it:cool:
Yes they made anticracking change so u cannot anyomore activiate volume by using virt server or somethin like that.. u can find more in FAQ and support forum of ASUS on P5B-deluxe, also by searching google.Quote:

i have 2 drives (raptor sata and seagate sata for data). vista is installed with IDE set in BIOS and these drivers (Description RAID_JMicronJMB36X11764_Vista.zip). i want to run my drives with ACHI. when i install, how do i install the correct drivers? i am not even sure what drivers to install? these (RAID/AHCI Software - Intel® Matrix Storage Manager [IATA621.EXE]? but it's an exe file. do i need to install the RAID_JMICRON drivers?
i'm so confused. thanks for the help.
I just have some quick questions: I just bought a SATA DVD Burner since my old one died it is plugged into sata port 1, I also have a 160GB Maxtor plugged into sata port 2, I have no IDE devices so I was wondering how to disable the JMicron IDE controller? Also I am reinstalling windows and I was wondering if I have to install the JMicron Raid driver even though I do not use raid?
I have bought P5B Deluxe just about a week ago, and it started showing problems from the start. Actually, after computer has been turned on for some time (half hour or more), whenever you try to restart it, or just enter BIOS, cooler starts working really weird, with higher and lower frequencies, and my monitor screen starts flashing. It takes huge amount of time until it loads windows, and after next restart, monitor just turn it self off, without loading anything. However, once it succeeds to load to windows it works fine on stock configuration. But, when you try to overclock anything, either CPU, or Graphic card, it makes a mess and turn it self off. That just sucks, since I bought this motherboard because of it fantastic overclocking capabilities. I have a cooler masters "eXtreme power 430W" power supply, which I thought was making the problems, but again I have read on many posts that this motherboard has huge bugs with BIOS, so that could be second guess. (My BIOS version is 0614). I tried my graphic card at friend CPU, and it works fine. Please help, I am really stuck here and I don't know what to do.
Thanks ahead, Vuk.
My config:
Intel Core2Duo E6300 1.86Ghz
ASUS P5B Deluxe
MSI GeForce 7600GT
Kingston 2Gb 667
Maxtor 80Gb
Cooler Master eXtreme power 430W
Not sure about the psu but I'd update the bios version first.Quote:

My friend just put his system together and has this EXACT same problem, only difference is he's running G.Skill HZ 2x1GB sticks at 4-4-4-12. Any idea what the problem is?Quote:
