I have a xigmatek s1283 on it, but my ambient temps have been high lately, about 78-80f in my room. How are my temps looking?
I was also wondering if there is a way to lower my core volts and still be stable at 3.4 because at 1.35, one of the cores fails in prime. Is there any other way to gain stability for that?
try 1.4 for what? I'm stable at 3.4 with 1.375 volts. To get up to 3.6 it takes 1.45, i wish it didnt take that much.
I need 1.5V with LLC enabled on my Maximus (Rampage'd) Formula to get 3.6GHz stable with my Q6600, VID 1.3125.

I stopped Orthos .. as i say she is good enough. I usually do 8-10 hours of orthos (when ever i OC) and i have never had any issues afterwards, but one never knows as you can prime for 24hrs and still have issues later on, but 8-10hrs is ideal for daily usage and or 24/7 usage.
Temps were decent, but i must inspect The Thermal Paste and heatsink mounting .. as it appears at times ... 2 cores are 8-10C higher then the other 2 ... cores 0-1 is 8-10C higher when OCing then cores 2-3, but at idle they are only 1-2C difference.
Idle right now is 33-32-28-30
Well i figured i run this program now to see if i am actually 100% stable as i just ran Orthos for 11 hrs last night/this morning... post is above and it never errored out, but if you read in this theard ppl who primed 10 hours or so .. ran linkpack and was not stable.

Ok this program gets Cores HOTTER then Orthos Prime.
I need to figure out why 2 of my cores always read 10C higher then the other 2.
Linpack 0-1 Cores 84C and 2-3 Cores 74C Max.
Orthos = 0-1 Cores 74C and 2-3 Cores 64C Max. (Were talking like 2-3 instances of 3 secs of a Max of 74C)
Here is my test results just done 15 min ago and all is OK Residual result numbers 5 passes all same.
Also ppl read the read me text ... only use what free memory is available to use.

YAY this morning I managed to get passed a 455FSB, I only tryed 456, lol. I would have gone higher but i'm to scared to rasie of volts up anymore. The funny thing is that today when I got pass 455 i used lower volts and stuff then I was trying before, WTF :confused:.

My poor 680i was weezing and whistling like crazy.
yo here, are some screenies of my bios, Could I get some suggestions on what I should change/use and stuff..... I kind of guess and checked these settings up to this point, they are OCCT 7 HOURS stable, but sometimes it won't POST the first time, lol! I have a feeling it's my RAM...
Anyways, my goal is to have mostly my OWN settings, without AUTO... because I already reached 3.9ghz stable with mostly auto settings and I want to fine tune my system with my own settings to get some better performance and perhaps more stability. Suggestions please!

Well with my settings I got about 8 hours stable on occt, or however long I slept last night... And that voltage was just a guess voltage, cause I'm going higher then 3.6 for sure.
Lol @ all you guys with great chips, I can't even get 3.7GHz stable.
I never tried anything higher then 3.6ghz on my Q6600.... i may do so one day soon, but from 3.6-4.0 is not a heck of a lot of difference in performance.
Although it would be faster per say and load things a little faster and benchmarks a little better, but again overall it is not that much better.
Its just numbers after 3.6ghz.
Now if i can get 5.0-6.0ghz out of my Q6600 prime STABLE and Linoack too .... i'd be a millionare as many would buy it.... lol
Conclusion = 3.6ghz is good enough
Anything over 3.0ghz is being wasted anyways as not much utilizes any ghz over 3.0
My first Q6600 that I got rid of needed 1.51v for 3.6GHz.
My second that I also got rid of needed 1.384v for 3.6GHz.
This bad boy needs 1.368v for 3.6GHz, but scaling goes downhill very quickly after that.
By "need" I mean 20 hours Prime 95 Stable and Linpack Stable... -_-'
I could do 3.8GHz @ 1.464v no problem on my old chip no problem for everyday usage.
Yeah i probably could or hope to do 3.8ghz at 1.45-1.46 with this one, but in time i may as 3.6ghz is good enough for me right now.
By the way if anyone likes to see what settings i used for my setup. I just updated my signature to reflect my template i used for Bios 1103 and now same for 1201.
Good luck with 3.8GHz stable, most chips start to scale horrifically when you go past 3.4GHz.
Yeah thats what i have been noticing about Quad-Cores no matter what ones they are, but there is plenty of ppl at 3.8ghz on them and stable ... so its the luck of the draw is all.
I wish my temps werent 70c at 3.6 with 1.45v. I would run that 24/7 but im at 3.4 with 1.375 for daily use :(
70C load is perfectly fine...
Is that 70C idle?
If it is full load ... i not like 70C either, but i max out now to only 63C-65C on core 0 is all and the rest of the cores are lower by about 2-3 degrees.
With my 3Fan Push 1Fan Pull I get 65C LOAD... I have crazy high ambients though. (1.36v)
Low VID chips are real hotties.
My 1.3125v VID chip only hit 68C on 1.44v with worse cooling.
