My Q6600 can't go past 3.6GHz... I think I degraded it from HEAT?????
VID: 1.2125v
Thanks, that's what I've imagined. But I want to push my fsp above 450 I'd better use strap 333 right? Which voltages should I rase besides FSB? PLL? NB?
This morning I amllost got 4.1GHz, 4095MHz LOL. I had the FSB @ 455, but as soon as I put it to 460 it would post, but crash while loading windows :(. I rasied the volts higher and higher, but still not stable :(. I'll wait till I get a delta 4,600 rpm fan before I try it again, as my temps were getting very hot :(.

Whats your cooling?
And VID?
I Can't get more than 3.1GHZ @ 1.3750 stable.
3.2, 3.3, 3.5ghz no post at all.
3.6ghz ran only @ 1.5750 but not even 10 second prime stable, think I need 1.7v to get it stable !
Heat is not that high since I get 37 max on full load (TRUE-120, Akasa 1700RPM fan)
I've been non-stop working for 5 hours and read too much but no success, O/C on EP45-DS3 is really complicated and differs from other boards.
The board takes a little getting used to at first. Part of that is getting the strap set correctly for your setup. That's the two jumpers right by the pci-e slot. I set mine in the 266-333 position as shown in the manual. What bios are you on? There's a beta I'm using, A7514IMS.143 dated July, 28. I can host it for download if anyone's interested. Here are some screens... cpuz and load temps first

I Don't think I've that jumper thing in my mobo, I will keep testing again today.
Thanks for posting your settings.
Yeah I suppose you wouldn't have those. It's an msi thing. Still strap is very important for oc success, experiment a little.

that was on my old max extreme im real starting to hate this 780i. nothing is really stable past 3.6
Dont you love the 4ghz on air but they never show prime pics.
One minute of Prime @ 3.9GHz isn't very convincing...
Hell, I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with my 3 hours Prime Stable then BAM Crash problem.
Same here Prime stable for 2 hour straight (400x9), I shut it down went to sleep. Start Priming the next day and it didn’t even last 5 minutes...
Then it just keeps freezing continuously between 5-10 minutes. Not sure how the hell it even pass 2 hours in the first place…
This is some scores I did with 1.28vcore a while ago with a 1.2125v VID (2nd pic has a long run prime):
*****Q6600 1.28vcore 400*9 3600Mhz and DDR2@1201 (Performance Level 5-6): new config

wow i have the same batch but the lowest i can seem to go is 1.344 @ 400x9. hmmm...
Wow those vcore's are super low for 3.6.
How'd you manage that?
Mostly because of the DFI and Low Vid?
