cpu-z also locks up my system randomly im on bios that shipped with mobo.
In the cpuz config file set sensor to OFF. It won't read the vcore correctly anymore but wont lock your system up.;)
Their working on fixing the problem.

when i open the older version cpuz in idle conditions, i would get random lockups...when i upgraded to cpuz 1.41, i was ok opening it in idle conditions...the only problem was when i was P95 and then trying to open it while P95...in that particular condition, it froze on me...the way around for me was to leave it open and minimize it to the taskbar...then, i would open and run P95...doing that didn't freeze my puter.
look how Memset is not working any longer on this board...with the Uguru chipset and software, it is different in how the Pro board operates with 3rd party software like cpuz and memset.
so.....I am looking into buying this board , cause I like the layout and overall it seems like a nice board, but im lacking confidence, i am looking for a 24/7 great overclock not just once in a day for benchmark, im thinking maybe 3.5 to 4 Ghz maybe?? btw my cpu is a C2D E6600 so is this mobo gonna perform well for me???
The IP35 Pro is an excellent 24/7 rock solid board I am 100% sure you will love it.
Here is my E6600 with the pedal to the metal :D

My last board was a DFI Lanparty 939. It was one of the best boards I've owned. This board easily fill its spot. This board pwns at a good price. This is definitely an over clockers board. Look at how many pages there are for one motherboard.
Combo deal at Fry's B&M, thru Oct. 30:
Intel Q6600 CPU & ECS 671T-M motherboard for $268.99
Unknown stepping version on the CPU.
SiS 671 chipset motherboard is designed only for DDR2 667/533/400; includes onboard video and PCIe video slot.
Ace,
about the bolt mod it has worked great for me but my pwn temp is still a little higher than id like so i took off the heatpipes to take alook and im making contact on alll the mosfets. i am wondering if i would be better off applying some as5 on the bottom of the heatpipe WITHOUT the little rubber pad that comes on the heatpipe? is this a bad idea removing the rubber pieces on the heatpipe?
No!!! Use MX-2 I'm their new fan boy. It is neither capacitive or conductive. Don't ask me how, but it is. Trust me non issue if its on the contacts mine is and I used it on my cpu and my temps are lower than as5. I used artic silver for years. There are products out now that beat it. That relates to a question I have. after applying the MX-2 and some 10Lbs springs on the heat pipes my NB only gets warm with two high powered 40mm fans on it. Should I bump my ichio up to 1.65 to attempt getting my memory stable at ddr2 1200.
Well 4 cores are harder to mantain stable so im guessing my E6600 will be ok! and what do u mean by the cpu and ram, im used to only nvidia boards since my first build so i dont know exactly the relation between cpu and ram on intel i know its dif but not exactly how :S:P
I will definetively buy this mobo!, newegg has some open box mobo's for 134.99 its a great deal :D!
I've had this board for about 1 month and have found a stable OC of 3.4ghz with a Q6600.
I'm now having some problems with my WD Raptor 150gb hard drive. I would say that 50% of the time when booting up the computer, this hard drive is not detected. Also, while in Vista 64-bit and doing my usual work for a few hours, the hard drive will just disappear. Sometimes it causes Vista to crash. When the hard drive is not detected on boot-up, everything operates extremely slow. I'd say it takes almost 5x longer for Vista to boot up. This hard drive only has some games and other program files. My other hard drive has Vista on it. I still have the same problems with NO OC and with add voltage to both CPU and RAM. I use Optomized Defaults.
Is there anyway to check if the hard drive itself is faulty? I'm not sure if it's the hard drive or the motherboard.
I'm using the 11 BIOS which brings me to my next problem. I have the Razer Tarantula USB keyboard and I cannot type anything while booting up. I can use it while within the BIOS but say when I want to type "runme.bat" in order to upgrade the BIOS from a bootable USB drive, I get nothing. This has essentially stopped me from flashing a new BIOS. I'm afraid to try and flash the BIOS while within Vista.
The hard drive was working fine for about 3 weeks (the entire time from initial new purchase) but has just recently given me troubles.
Thanks guys!
What exactly does ICH and ICHIO control? What are some recommended voltage choices for both of these?
So why don't I need any ICHIO? Even 500x8 I didn't need any although that was only 32M tested. Needed more cpu vvt though. Maybe it's a quad thing???

probably...that is why i am hesitant to give anyone my voltage settings.
What DDR2 REFERENCE VOLTAGE does? Does it help at high fsb benches?
