Is anyone else's 7900gt loud as HELL?
I just installed mine like 30mins ago, I thought after driver installation it might get quieter. It didn't. My computer isn't that quiet, and I can hear it over everything else and it is just very very loud.
I have the XFX 550/1630 version.
If one in a million is broken, I always get the :banana::banana::banana::banana:ing broken one

My XFX 7900GT Extreme (520/1500 clocks default) is currently humming away (and has been for about an hour) at 570/1860 (using Powerstrip to overclock)... this is nuts! The core doesn't want to budge much higher without artifacting, but the RAM shows no signs of stopping! I'm going for 1900 on the memory later tonight, for now I'm going to relax and game some with this new card (it came in today :D )!
P.S. AndrewZorn, my card at least is very quiet.

and they dont have any more
even if they did they cant cross ship (i just went a week without a computer for this)

EDIT: Tried 580/1800 but no go... same staticy artifacting on textures (white dots). Think I'll stick with 570/1800ish for a 24/7 overclock, will fine-tune the speeds tomorrow, for the night I want to relax with some games :D ! Maybe I will get 575/1840 or so as a final with a bit of buffer room built-in.

Just got my card in, ran @ stock speeds and got 20.1K in 3dmark03
Went to coolbits and it autodetected to 544/1600, ran 3dmark06 at those settings and got

Make sure you guys stress the hell out of those clocks at max res with aa/af in either FEAR or Quake 4. These games show artifacts where others wont. Hella stressful games.
