Here's update to my previous post: SPI8M 10x267 3-3-2-7-1T and alpha timings are same. Windows memtest was clean at same settings over 1.5 hours.

So i just put together my machine (in sig). Haven't overclocked yet.

I'm using xp... i played a couple of games but turned them off am running azureus and a couple other things but nothing crazy. When I hit ctrl alt del right now it says commit charge 2546/4011 and at one point windows even said my pagefile was too small so it had to increase it. Can someone tell me why so much ram is being used up? Is this normal?

Since it's more than 2 gigs does that mean i'm constantly using my pagefile now?

What applications are using that much RAM? Taskmanager should tell you...

And now that you have 2GB it means you will use your HDD Pagefile less (which is good).

sorry my comp is not in sig.... i have this set of ram

I am running it right now (2gb plat ocz) and ... well heres the screenshot

i'm just running the regular apps in windows... no games no nothing

I just restarted.... with commit charge saying about 400/3893 and i'm looking at it as we speak and it's going up by 1 meg at a time but not coming down from that. What is commit charge? is it how much ram is being use up?

no comment to that :| 51 processes... I've only got 18! U should consider 'cleaning up' your system by unchecking all unnecessary things in the startup tab in msconfig... god..

More results please! :slobber: Im looking at these for xmas. I always wanted to try OCZ. Im still using a neo2 so i like the low voltages on these (right these use low volts?) These with my X2 4400 (already have) and my soon to be AIW X800xt will do me just fine @2.7 untill M2.

290? not likely and definitely not in 3d. Even with an AMD64 FX 280Mhz is about the most u can get. My venice and Sandy couldnt break 267 with these sticks.

My Venice does 280 but needs 273 for gaming. Still though I love these sticks. 265x11 is tearing it up in BF2 and FEAR.

this ram looks so sweet. i ordered it from ncix yesterday, hope it dosn't take too long to get here. i'm going nuts waiting for it and its only been 1 day! lol

If youre actually using your system instead of benching, 52 processes isnt :banana::banana::banana::banana:.. Im at 55...

I've got mine last friday. I'm quite pleased with them. Timings in my sig.

When I get alot of spare time I might try and push for maximium clock but right now I'm happy with the tightish timings

I use my system (not for beching) and I have less than 28 proccesses, 55 is brutal

and I don't bench nemore, my rig is outdated.

27 processes, and this is more then i usually have (i just started running folding and right now i have aim, quicktime, itunes, and msn on, some apps i rarely use)

anything over 30 is wayyy to much imo...

Hmmm this doesn't resemble an Operating system forum??? I am sure there is one here at XS where you can discuss how many processes you have / should be running. Can we stick to results with the Ram in the title please?
