Damn, I get a bit annoyed to see all these great overclocks :p: . Makes me want to buy a new one, but that would just be a waste again... I might be able to get my x2 3800+ stable at 320x9(2880mhz) and 1.6V, it just finished a quick round of transcoding with nero(stresses both cores a lot and freezes quickly if it's not stable), but I'll run a 24 hour Orthos later to see if it's truly stable :)
Still not quite happy with 2.88ghz though, as I have done so much to get it. Popped IHS off, using top of the line water cooling etc. When some of these chips pop right up to 3ghz close with stock volts, it simply looks bad in comparison! :p:
so poor result...Quote:

1.45 vcore
13*c idle ==== 19*c under full load for hours and hours!
A 4800+ and a 12,5 multi? how come?
I'm having trouble getting the Ram to OC real high without having really sloppy timings. Tryin to keep it as tight as possible.Quote:

It's a 65nm Brisbane, stock multi 12.5 x 200 = 2500mhzQuote:

no, my it isn't my RAM. this processor clocks like ASS. my RAM will easily do DDR600 @ 2.5-3-3-7-1T
right now i have a 3 week uptime (windows xp lol) at 2.4 Ghz, 1.475v vcore (set in bios). its stable. anyone want to trade me for an 89w 4400+ haha.
shame on me! :nono:Quote:

The 146 managed to do 2800Mhz at 1.425V in BIOS. With IHS the 2800Mhz were stable with 1.4V for about 38 Minutes, then there was an error in Prime. Without IHS i had the same result! damn it ...
With my X2 3800 it was the same. 2800Mhz with 1.392V with IHS, the same result without IHS.
So i don't know if i should be satisfied with 2800Mhz and 1.35V with IHS and 3 years warranty. If i chop the IHS off, then get the same result, i would be very angry.
dunno what to do ...
after 2 useless instances of removing IHS i am sure u SHOULD not remove the third :P
Yeah, youre probably right. Smartguardian tells me that the temp is between 37°C and 38°C. Coretemp says 43 core1 and 52 core1.
that's strange..
IHS removed must be alot of drop on cpu temp
my old venice can managed to 3GHz without IHS and only 2,85Ghz with IHS (watercooled)
Yeah for sure there is a temp-drop. It was about 10°C on my x2 3800+ ... but couldn't overclock it more. Dunno why :(
Manchester LDBFE 0633DPMW
1.6 Vcore Watercooled, 52c full load.
EDIT: Forget Vcore, guess I need less then I thought. Went straight to 1.6v, but somebody said, often times you can volt it as much as you like, but still nothing happened, so I backed down the Vcore, and I'm priming with 1.5v now. Much better.

1.6V?? For 2700Mhz? Is this stable dude?
This is a heavy load man, for 2.7ghz. I have mine at 2.7 ghz, and I don't have more than 1.4 or 1.425 volt to get there!!Quote:

My old 0618 EPMW was doing 2800Mhz with 1.35V. How much do you need for 2800Mhz?Quote:

because i don't need more ATM , i use it only for web surfing + i am running it with freezer 64 and need to keep temp as low as possible , summer is coming and i leave it sometimes in 30+C ambientQuote:

I don't think that the 3Ghz will be possible with 1.45V
wana betQuote:
