Hey njkid32, what did you gain from taking the top off your X2?
Well I took it off the first day...LOL But I first put it in and the farthest I took it was about 2.7ghz if I can remember correctly. Maybe less but it was the first day. These chips produce alot of heat so if your on air popping the idiots hat off will help you alot!Quote:

edit i just realized that this is an 800mhz oc. not too bad for dual core on ok air.

Nice..
air... no i wish though cuase it would be more quiet! hehe.
I'm currenty using this:
Swiftech STORM Extreme Performance 1/2" ID
The same large rad with six loud fans and 2 12v DD-D4 pumps.
My cooling or ship must suck cause the temp on the CPU can go up to around 44-48 with both cores pumpin.
OK first of all you should read this thread and set super pi up the same way by setting the affinity in the shortcut to run off of each core.

Then make sure you use this bios the 704-2BT

Now the only true way to test for stability is to run 2 instinces of prime95. Super Pi is a good program but wont stress your cpu as much as prime95.
thanx for the link. 2 instances of 32m super pi will do it for me. that should get me stable enought for bf2 and recoding some vid simultaneously. already running 704 big toe.

Hey if its your first time you should really read through the sticky that tells you how. Take your time even if it takes you 10hrs cuz its worth not killing your chip. If you want some help send me a pm and we will see what we can do!Quote:

Man these clocks are awesome, I gotta get me one of these, but I might try and practice taking the "idiot cap" as njkid calls it, off of my winny first, reducing my chances of ruining 400 dollar cpu.
Keep the results comin guys...
changed the sig, going to do it today.
Has your Mach arrived yet njkid? Hows the results for it looking so far?
Well the mach has been here but I am still waiting on the mounting kit. But that will be here on Wed.Quote:

Hey Perc, whats the stepping of your killer chip :) , VERY nice OC
ok heres ssss (semi suicide screen shot) 10x290. both cores ok superpi but havent tried both together yet, starting to get a wee bit toasty in there. will put a vantec tornado on later and go for the 3ghz. ite smart guard reporting my 12v wrong, but other stuff seems pretty accurate. my 3dmark went down from 33k to 29k vs my sandy @ 10x280, but all other benchmarks pretty much the same. is losing 15% of my 3d normal?
