Yeah, but ozzi had his setup sucking air from the cold night air from outside. He was getting colder temp reading than my water cooler (in a 20C room). :clap: Like most cpu's, they love the cold.
I bet these Newarks could easily reach 3.4GHz with a vapochill or Mach2.

and yes.. i was using very cold air, but the zalman sucks with small surface area cpu's, so it balances out :p: :D
edit: though, the 2.85ghz with 1.57v is stable with more normal air temps, so it's useable, and might actually get it to 2.9ghz with better cooling :)

I dont think the 1/2" tubing will fit over the ends, if you intend to put some smaller barbs on there could you see how easily the tubing would fit on the stock fittings b4 you do plz m8.
i know it won't fit over the larger end, but the smaller one should be doable. i'm gonna cut the barbs off anyhow, because they're kind of obtrusive. :stick:
Mine is CABHE 0514WPMW. Need some hose clamps to complete my WC setup. ARF! The way it is now, I can't do anything lol.
Edit: so somehow, I actually got an earlier week than you guys.
curious. i'm fairly certain CABHE is better than CABGE, but.. no idea how it relates to a CABSE.
i have all my WC stuff in now, i'll be setting it up, and hopefully have it running.. soon.

I'll be somewhat busy for the next week, but before I take off I just wanted to share something with you all:
- Two cracked chips on my CPU (those small little ones that surround the core) :(
- 3023.91MHz screenshot on air (70F ambient in La Habra, CA) :D
I was trying to concentrate so that I could carefully install the XP-90C on the board. The silence was beautiful and then, all of a sudden...the phone rings and gives me one hell of a scare. I dropped the sink on the CPU, and that's how I ended up with the two cracked chips. I swear I'm the unluckiest hardware enthusiast on the planet. :rolleyes: I'll still see what I can do with this chip, but I already know that I'm going to buy another one.

Man, that sucks! Sorry to hear the bad news Conrad. I almost dropped the case with Turion in it, Heatsink still screwed on. I am about to put a stock AMD HSF on it. So careful not to crack it. :stick:
Lapping my HSF hasn't been fun either. I messed up a couple of times. :mad:
why not take a heatspreader of of another cpu and put it on?

At bootup, the Windows splash screen (with the loading progress indicator that goes from left to right) takes it's sweet ol' time to finish doing its thing. i use both an external sensor attached to the heatsink base, very close to the core and the ondie thermal sensor labled CPU. they're pretty similar, except ~1-3min after applying or removing load :toast:
the PWMIC is just that, the temperature of the PWM chips ;)
and for shure: i got the tubing over the ends, i just cut off the part with a bit of barb in it off :D
