no he didn't kill the cpu, don't get him all worried for something that's not even his fault. the cpu voltages options he applied *136% weren't even applied to the cpu yet if he didn't post. sounds like a different problem...

some psu's are incompatible with the 4vdimm setting on the dfi motherboard. my zippy 6701 is incompatible. atm, whether it is the motherboard or the psu's fault is unknown. zippy is an manufacturer with an excellent reputation for server psu's where quality and reliability is paramount. i wouldn't be surprised if it's a fault with the dfi. oskar wu has passed on word through opb that there is a design flaw in the zippy. atm, i'm trying to get by with what 3.2v will get me on my ocz vx/twinmos utt.

Got the same problem here with a 3500+ Winchester, everything above 11x220 = no go
However 10x266 2-2-2-7-10-17 runs fine :)

On my old Neo2 11x250 wasn't a problem, so it's something in the mainboard. I am also using the 02/09 bios, however it was also with the stock bios (01/26 i believe).

I personally don't have a problem with it, cause this way my mem is maxed out :)

Tomorrow I will get my 3000+ from RMA and will let it know if it has the same problem. I hope that isn't the case, 8x multi sux ;)

I cannot get my VX to OC above 220 When the Chip and MB has done way over that before.

Anyways I have tried both sticks seperately and bios hangs @ 215 @ 3.4V for both sticks.

My crappy TCCD had no problems. :(

our board fixed itself.
solution to our no boot issue was to add another video card......!! :shrug: :grr:

And no it had nothing to do with the SLI connector

Hi,

after few days and hard work the board became working.
First I can't install windows when USB Mouse in Bios --> enable and keyboard
After installing 5x200 ldt is very unstable. Data loss etc. So I decided to format my raid0 on my PCI Highpoint Raid after I backed up all data to my 160gb maxtor on IDE 0 master. After destroy stripe and rebuild I startet win2k from secondary master and all data were loss on my backup hd. The partition table was erased. *lol*

More then 3.6Vmem is not possible because @3,7 I get bluescreen on booting with my bh-5

The CPU temperature in mbm5 and smartguardian shows always about 70 degrees??? In bios it is about 20 degrees.

I have a crappy 3200 winnie 2750@1,75Vcore waterchilled

All this with the new beta bios

You are using the wrong sensor selection in MBM5.

there are only 3 sensors. One is ambient one is chipset and one is cpu. When I start windows mbm shows the right temp for the cpu maybe for 5 sec and then it switches to 66 degrees

ok I set it now to sensor1 diode and now it works *hm* I think after the last bios update it has been changed because before it was set to sensor 1 and it worked fine

Didnt get the cpu today btw, getting it tomorrow so i'll see if it has the same multiplier issue.

i've got a bit of a weird issue i cant use even multipliers sometimes a bit more voltage to the vcore helps but it varies. ie i memtested stable at 255x9 and 255x7 but 255x8 and 255x10 when i try to boot just before where it verifies the back up bios it hangs and in a few seconds reboots. using the 2/09 bios 2/01 didnt work well for me at all.

Man, ive been reading the posts and alot of stuff is really wrong...lol. Ive seen people say that if you have a revision1 Ultra d and 512 double sidded OCZ TCCD memory you cant overclock.......well, is 305 at 1T good enough to fix that? Ive had NO problems with my OCZ Platinum Rev2 on my Ultra-D at all, i keep it at ddr550 at 1T with 2.5-3-3-7 settings at 2.8 volts....

My DFI NF4 SLI-D arrived but no where in the manual does it even mention the 6 jumper blocks and which config is meant for SLI mode or Single video card mode ?

the side closest to the main pci-e 16 is for single mode and the other side is for sli. btw theres a better manual on the cd, its alot bigger. also silkscreened on the board is says which jumpers change it from a 16x2 to 8x8 it just doesnt say sli anywhere there

Isn't there a central 3rd party DFI database of all the bioses including betas like 209 somewhere?

hi viper :) Do you know the right sensor config for mbm ? I have mbm, speedfan, sandra and a bunch more tools...and EACH of these tools shows different values... (for voltages and temps).

Seems that on this board my Asus EN6800U's run 13C's hotter then they did
with my Ga-K8NXP board. I am using same drivers that i did in my Giga board.
Same ambient room temp area. Although this board is solid in VCore and Vdimm stablity, for sli i rather have lower gpu temps.
My gpu clocks are lower also at stock gpu core/mem.
Right now on the DFI i am at 425/1100.
My K8NXP was stock @ 434/1138.

Hi Guys, Hi OCZ,

Today my DFI SLI-D arrived. after I had connected all cables from my ocz 520watt i wanted start the PC and bang my ocz make a loud bang and lightning shot through.

My PSU is now damaged and im not the first with this problem :(

What to do? RMA?
