Nissan S12 '88 (200sx usa) 1.8 turbo running 155bhp, 870kg wet weight
fully striped, installing a ca18det into it thats about 235bhp, welding dif over the next few days. installing freeflow exhaust, lowering it.
Soon as thats done its going into UKD1 Eurodrift this year. Should be a laugh.
Here's what £300 of VW Jetta looks like. Runs quite nicely and corners surprisingly well, I drive a Focus Estate TDCi all week on the motorway [which practically drives itself], so it makes a nice change getting out in the Jetta at weekends. Seeing fewer of these about recently tbh.

Last year I go by the Chinese car. :) I do not know as it refers to, because I do not know Chinese language, but it is almost full copy of Toyota. :) I has passed 20k on it for a year and while I'm happy.

To me that's cheap, like cutting your springs...which is definetely the wrong way to lower a car...at least tell me you aren't doing that too?
Driving with a welded diff is no big deal at all if you are a good driver its no problem.Quote:

Will be removing the rear subframe from this s12 and will install a rear subframe from a s13 into it. thus allowing me to use the s13 dif that will be modded as saif above. will have to remove arches and basicaly rebuild the back end of the car.
As for lowering the car cuting springs is the wrong thing to do. As this is a track car im trying to make the car as stiff as pos so will be doing alot of work and will be using some custom made springs for the car.
This car is being built to go around corners fast and sideways and thats why things are being done differently compared to street/race cars.
Also just installed front mount intercooler and a t25 turbo just to give a bit of power untill i install the new engine.
Trust me mate i know what im doing. We build alot of s13's and Skylines for Drift events.
Workshop with 4 nissan s13 200sx's a few old datsuns 1 skyline and my s12, all being made into track cars. sorry about mess the season just started so its kinda mad here.
Datsun SSS
For future reference might be worth not talking down to people unless you are sure you know more than them. lol crazy power mad admins. :D In the end of the day im sure you know alot about your American cars and i know alot about my Jap cars. nuf said.
It looks like a extended 4runner with the back lopped off:DQuote:

If it isn't a daily driver then no big deal on the diff.
