dont think i made myself clear, didnt know you received a 325/700 , i thought you got a 325/1100 that didnt overclock so you were gonna flash it to the gimped one and say they sent you a bad one in hopes of getting another card that might overclock better
i got a stupid 325/700 also and i called ZZF twice and told them about it and they still haven't called me back (3 days) im afraid to send mine back, and id be careful, becuase they are most likely going to send you a 6800GT becuase its price is closest

no, i didnt try the bios becuase i figured if i cant overclock to 1100 why would i want to flash to it? artifact frenzy
also, i paid for it to come stock at 1100, i dont want a card that will struggle to run 1100, i want to start at 1100 so i can overclock past 1100

that stock bios was castrated.
many cant oc to 1100, but after the flash are just fine.
mine came 325/700, running 420/1200 just fine with the 1.4v Ultra bios.
I havn't heard of any that are 'just fine' after flashing the bios. Havn't heard of any bios's makinga difference on the memory. If it can't oc with the 325/700 bios to 1100mhz, then I'd rma it.

Anyone using the card in a abit IC7, anything above stock speeds and i get artifacts using a IC7, any other of my boards i can get 450/1250 no problem. but using the IC7 i even artifact a little @ 325/1100, And on 2 different 6800's i have??
how about raising the agp voltage? strange as it may seem? never heard it helping anybody, but worth a try. hm.. wait.. ic7 - did you try it with other p4 boards, or are your other rigs athlon or p3 based? p4 and it's beloved 12v line? might be a prob.. worth a shot imo to maybe check out the rails and hook a diff. powersupply to the card, maybe even two supplies - one rig, one gfx ?

that's the one. thas the Asus v9999 gamer's edition . yes, you can enable all the pipes and make it an ultra. of course , overclocking is the luck of the draw. the bios settings is exact same as an 6800 ultra bios. except the just didn't name the bios Geforce 6800 ultra, but you can easily change that using OmniExtremeEdit 1.5 bios utility.Quote:

I got 3 cards from zzf. 1st one was great! did 425/1200 w/simple bios flash. 2nd Card won't run ultra specs, won't run 1ghz ram, needs like 800mhz ram. What should I do there, RMA?
3rd card flashes fine. Runs totally stable in 3d, however, any attempts at chaging speeds of card higher or lower, results in software oc test erroring out saying clock changes are not stable, lower clocks and try again. Well I have tried about 200 settings, everything even underclocking card errors. But like I said I get no artifacts in 3dmark 2001, 2003, 2005.
that is why i'm running the cards in burn in period. hopefully that would aid in overclocking. i believe it makes a difference.
JNav89GT: RMA the one that doesn't do 1100mhz ram. I got two cards from ZZF and they all did 350/1100 with stock bios/cooling.
As for the one that won't let you overclock, use different software :) I like powerstrip.

I modified a bios that evga sends out to a ultra @1.5 volts. simple flash with a floppy,1 step procedure. (a real no-brainer). If you can push the y key when asked, then you have it made!
Runs 430/1280. 54?? 05. 75K aqua.

bwahh... just got my evga 6800 limited edition. took the pov 6800gt out and put this card in.
first boot: a couple rows of red lines from top to bottom of the screen, spaced ~ 1" horizontally.. "oh well"... ok windows xp loading screen. hm no more red, just a few out of place colors. ok, into windows. hm.. low color - 4bit! yay. ok drop in the evga driver disc - installing the display driver that came with the card... reboot. same stuff all the way from bootscreen until windows desktop. ok, trying to change the resolution to 1024x768 (still 4bit) -> ok -> immediately went back to 640/480. hmmm. ok let's see what rivatuner (15.2) detects... oh well "nothing" yay yay, this is starting to be fun.
ok, next up, downloading the latest nv wxp driver -> install -> hardlock. any time i tried to boot after that - hardlock right after i entered login/pw. yay!
also i don't think the first driver installation did anything for the card - i couldn't enter the the usual nv tab in display properties and the device manager showed an unknown vc card.. wtf???
what should i do? try to flash it to a newer bios?
also if i try to enter my boards bios, i can't read stuff. everything is garbled real good.
right now i'm really ticked... then, when i put my pov back in (using a coolermaster fan) - i forgot to plug it in, and went to set up my bios, for i cleared cmos and all. noticed the fan cable dangling in the case, shut the rig down.. hm geforce got real hot, but lives :D... but then again. it did work before...
yes flash to a modded bios. if that doesnt solve it, send it back.
if u want find the biso files posted here, i tihnk anandtech forum has them posted, try searching.

well the rig i've been running it in (more like trying to run it) was this:
xpm2600 @2500mhz (200x12.5, usually runs 220x11.5) on abit an7 tictac bios, said gfx card, 2x 512mb khx3200, a samsung hdd and a teac dvd-r. all that is powered by a 550w psu with plenty power on the rails.
ok so i put it into one of my other rigs. (palomino 1800, msi kt266pro2ru, 3x512mb inf 2100, plus 3 cards, 2hdds, 1 dvd & 1 cdr drive, 350w ;) ). the bootup looked the same, except it wasn't red but blue this time. same thing into windows, see above. then i went to install the nv-driver, then reboot. on booting into windows it would shut down the drives and reboot. tried a second time - same thing. man i used to run a 9800xt in that rig for quite some time.. grrrrr - now the old 8500 is back in that rig again.
also, the totally garbled screen was back on that rig again. it is a dualboot rig (linux/win2k) and the textscreen where you can choose which partition to boot from... it's just garbled. ohhhh i'm angry, REAL angry.
anyway. the fun thing is, my friend (a VERY good friend) who bought the card over there for me and who tested it before sending said it would run flawless. he didn't o/c the card nor did he try anything else, but i think he would have recognized the artifacts while booting for what they might be and told me about it before sending.
