I've used a booster previously on my NF7-s v2.0 in slot 1, the one NEAREST to the CPU, and had to remove the bottom mosfet heatsink for it to fit.
I increased the vdimm using the booster and noticed the following program reported the increases accordingly...

...and also in the Hardware Doctor program that seems to get shipped with most Abit boards.
Does this mean that VTT tracking is ok on my mobo? :)
You need a good 500w PSU to get the most out of that. A 350w is too small. Time for an upgrade.Quote:

Thanks Andy,
Silly billy me linked to a 5k pot I did mean 10K, would the same pot as link but 10K be ok
cheers
Hi all. Has anyone else noticed under serious load like Prime or SuperPi your 3.3v line goes crazy. Example, I set my booster at 3.4v while stressing it fluctuates as low as 3.3v. I have a good PS look in sig but its a 2 year old model. It has pots and have the 3.3v line maxed.
Wondering if I ditch the booster and try a OCZ Powerstream 520 with a modded DFI LP UT 4v dimm bios my vdimm will be more stable. Any thoughts?
Well the cheaper option is to change the pot, which does give more stable voltage.
I would check your psu 5 volt rail when priming to see if its that thats flutuating.
Read about the mod on the booster droop mod thread.
Persivore did an exellent job on it.
I did it and it drops as max 0.01V under load.
But your warranty says bye bye.
DDR Booster works on: Asus P4P800-E Deluxe
2,7 - 4,2v
Load: 2,6 - 4,1v :woot:
Voltage in Bios: 2,55v
Great!
andyOCZ, izzit how far the booster can support on mobo also depend on PSU ? i heard some of them said that booster can up to 3.9v on Abit NF7.
dont care about it, i am using AI 7 where the website state only get 3.4vdimm. but now i able to get 4v vdimm, that's rocks.... go for it, u wont regret.Quote:

gsan, what is in your system? What PSU do you have?
AMD M-barton 2400+, NF7 v2.0, Acbel 450W PSU
Does anybody know, if the DDR Booster works on the Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI? :stick:
abit IC7-G rev 1.1, issues with prime95... anything more than 2.9vdimm and prime will fail with relative memory error "rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4".
B
I dont know if this has been posted, but i can get my AS8 to 3.85 or 3.95 i cant remember. UGURU wil only show till 3.5, but i measured with a vdimm and it does go higher, also the booster stabilizes some of the fluctuation of the vdimm, not much but i thought i would add it.
ya... mine too. dont worry, it doesnt matterQuote:
