i always use same vcore for superpi and 3Dmark. i just adjust frequency about 20 mhz lower for superpi 1M->3Dmark2001.
More than 1,85v is useless , i can screen at 3060 with 1,85v too.

Really? I didn't think you ran 3DMark because all I see you running is SuperPi.
really ;)
as you can see on the ORB my frequency for my WR was 2925 with FX53 940 , and i was able to do Spi1M at 2950 about.
I d never do a Superpi at 3000 mhz :(
i d never bench at 3000 mhz , my best bench freq is with 3800+ 2997 mhz Sandra bandwith benchmark :D
Probably Soon 3Ghz
Yes i'm Sad , 3Dm2K1 miss me , i don't have decent CG to bench.
Yeah, maybe.....but it DOES take 2V to hit 3.4ghz+ :DQuote:

Already showed you 2v on this board charlie
Here's another reason to like this board. Notice that its 200 mhz faster to 27s in spi then the pic above. Even if you could only get 3.2 3d stable on this board at 12 x 266 you'd have an 39k in 2k1
pkrew thats because your fsb is consideratly higher :)
very good and so is my ram. You cant get that high 1/1 on the Asus unless you run slack timmings
I´m getting the same setup soon (GA+FX53). Any conclusions about the vcore mod?
Thanks
it works , but for me useless to give more than 1,85v.
My new bandwith record With LLPT 1.2 CH5 chips 3,63v :

Nice..... Do you know if this setup likes bh5? My ocz are able to do 275 @ 2,2,2,5
About the vcore mod, where can I see some details?
Thanx
i have a lot of problems with some Bh5 sticks , but pkrew don't , i don't know why , perhaps because my M/B and my 3800+ are early sample. :/

50K vr to ground
I know of two others using this board and have gotten around 265 3d stable with their bh-5Quote:

I thought you were running a 3800+. You can't compare that to an FX-53. Completely different chip.Quote:

Thank you guys for your replies and pic. Lets see what I can do....
What are you guys doing to get the clocks tab to work? I have tried all sorts of different settings in the bios to allow for the clocks to work with no luck.Quote:

Also, what are good mem settings for OCZ 3700EB? I can get 250 x 10.5 easy but would like to tighten up the mem running all auto right now.
btw: this is a AV8 w/ .20 bios and 3500+
AV8 is ABit.Quote:

I think you mean A8V, right?
well my A8v is a flaming pile of dung. Going to return it and maybe get this board.
Stupid ? though is I see some complaints that the vcore mod is hit and miss.
I'd want to run 1.9-1.95v max into cpu at times. Can the vmod for vcore do this?
My bad... The A8V from Asus. Any help though?Quote:

Not many people have had much success with that board. PM OPPainter and he should be able to help with some timings. Seems to me there was another thread here about this as well. You may want to do a search.
well ordered mine tonight
returning asus and eating restocking fee I guess.
warning: Asus buggy buggy buggy,:banana::banana::banana:roach infested motherboard.
Specifically tell me what the problems were and i'll tell you how to solve it. The oNLY bug I can confirm is the "turns itself on" when the PSU is switched, bug.Quote:

It has a stable Vcore up to 2.0V+ and Vddr up to 3.15v, this limited Vddr will limit the user to about 245, 1:1........ with bH5. There are SEVERAL guys who've had great success with this board. And it OC's REAL well.
C
1) vcore fluctuates, say vcore set at 1.7, it swings from 1.68 to 1.72. Now you may think powersupply and while I can't say I'm 100% sure it isn't, the 3/5/12v lines were solid as reported.
2) unstable oc's for me. Now I give you I'm noob on this board, but my FX53 on my Vapo LS wouldn't even run stable at 2.75-2.8ghz. This is with any voltage up to 1.95v tested. But it was stable to my knowledge at like 2.65 or 2.7(can't remember) at like 1.55 or 1.65v. Now maybe I got a really bad cpu, but that just doesn't make sense.
3) until I updated bios, about 3/4 of the time when I hit delete to enter bios, it ignored me and continued to post, fixed with 1005.021 bios
4) Would seem stable at 240fsb with OCZ 3500EB 2x512mb at Cas3 2:3:8, but after reboot and changing nothing would error in prime right away. This was after running prime for hours prior to reboot. Ram running at 3.0v. For some reason couldn't get higher despite my vmod.
5) Board started to deteriorate in the end. Now maybe it was a combo of things. Unfortuneately, I don't have any spare socket 939 parts. Generally, I have alot of spare mobo/cpus so if something dies and can isolate it quickly. I don't have that luxury now :(. What happened was got a bsod, page fault in non paged area or something to that effect. Thought oh well, pushed too far, reboot, dreaded loop reboot. Thought, well will downclock and reinstall. Took a few times to get board to post, which isn't too uncommon if pushed too far( I don't fault board for that really) but after it posts I go into bios and change stuff and save/exit and no post. Do this about 20 times and no change. Think oh sh!& did I fry my FX :O. So today after stewing last night, I take board out of case, off vapo LS, and setup on table aircooled. With super elcheapo generic PS just to isolate that. Removed cpu and checked for condensation which there was none I could see. BTW I cleared cmos all night too. So I post and it works and save/exit works as well. Actually can get into old os install fine, no loop( so maybe fried a brand new TTGI 520 :(. But shortly thereafter was doing something and it just shuts off, no nothing. I'm 90% sure it's the board.
6) Thought my 3500EB would get 250fsb at cas 3 2:2:8 or so but couldn't get over 240 and even that wasn't totally tested stable. Maybe it was just my board, bought at zipzoomfly last week arrived thursday was a xxxGODxxxx seriel ???? which looks to be earlier than known good locked boards, but locks appeared to work as I had sata hd as my only hd and was up to 240-250 various times.
7) startup issue with vapo LS, just a general bug with that board, I had a workaround for it, but was still annoying.
All in all I was just very disappointed overall. Maybe 90% of it's user error, I don't think so but this is so new to me I cannot be sure. But I was expecting to get at least 2.9ghz and goal was 3.0ghz rock solid on vapo LS. Naturally, I get the lemon board, lemon cpu, a doa HD and the list goes on...........................
yeah, that's quite a depressing list......
The low OC is certainly an indication of something else... and it would be quite BAD if ZZF gave you a real old mobo...
