Have you got any other rams to try? Maybe an 8gb or 16gb set?
:)
Very nice single and double card results there people.
yeah i'v tried that still not any better...its just with this bench the other one for this platform vantage runs fine and scores a tad above normal or so.
Still got crappy cpu scores gpu is up abit thuo

i think i will do windows updates i dont think i have sp1 for w7
see if that helps
nice vantage run i seen mrtooshort :D
it seems like AB doesnt keep voltages constant like PrecisionX does. and everytime you restart your system it applies lower voltages. so like i set +35 but when i hit apply it applies +31, and then when i restart it applies +25 and then keeps going lower everytime i restart my com.
Its well documented

Quote:
Applying correct voltage offset (which doesn’t promise correct offset to be applied) is not the only problem, it is also a real problem to READ applied offset back from the PWM. So if you as a user applies one offset THEN restarts Afterburner with a different VID set, some false number can be displayed on the slider instead of correct value.
That makes the current build a more risky to use, but nothing the real overclockers can handle really.
yea but its really annoying that i have to always open up AB to change it to the correct volts i need for stability. or switch to the LN2 BIOS which then increases heat and i dont need 1.21v to be stable. hope they fix it, cause AB and precision X are really the same software.
If you dont need 1.21v to be stable then you should not need anything voltage wise since thats what it is stock. :)
I tested a bios mrtooshort gave
me hope he dont mind me sharing it here (thanks agian)

It really helped my one card that was not stable at all over 1280 now just tests on air easy 1300
Noticed a few things over the stock DCII OC cards bios besides clocks
1 its 3d voltage is 1.235 and stock is 1.204, it has same 2d .99, low power 3d went from 1.10 to 1.124.
2 You can push it up to your cooling its not flakey after 1.42v like stock dcii oc bios.
3 power limits slider is lowered to 132 but it makes no differance its bios has made changes somewhere to limit what it sees(saves mod to do this)
4 has mods so 3d is almost constaint in some areas of some benches that were not on stock bios, helping in those benchmarks for alittle more fps.
5 It STILL has cb issues -32c it will cycle its low power 3d voltages and 3d voltages if too cold durnig a benchmark so you have to :banana::banana::banana::banana:foot it
fclocks and frames go up and down also so its useless to bench like that.
cbb @-40c partys over.
not sure if going colder will help since i only test dice
Anyone else test thier card cold ?
i need 1.175 to be stable at 1320, but my card doesn't go above 1.155 without volt offset. its strange.
i dont see how PrecisionX gives stable voltage sets, and AB doesn't when they are the safe software.
evga classy tested with evbot @guru3d

New PB for me:
P13349
3930 5.1ghz, 680 Lightning at 1477
What's the latest word on the unlocked Afterburner? Is +100 (+93 set) all we are going to get without hard mods? Although I'm pretty happy with my results so far I bought the Lightning specifically to unlock it and crank the volts a bit, so in that I am disappointed.
:D
MSI GTX 680 Lightning 3 way SLI, with only a 3960x at 4.7Ghz, will push alot harder then I get my water home !:)

nice run
Now if i could only get pcie 3.0 to run without issues on my x79
On the same mb i get stability issues but was worth a few points in 3d11 even with single card when i tried, other benches not so much differance.
i'll try it agian sometime.
Had a dx9 bench setup today but i dont know what happened
3d11
Almost to 14k gpu score on someruns dice testing today
1600 aok for gpu clocks -30c 1.51v here is one ss i saved

Ηello there!
This is my best score for now...
The card runs at 1324mhz (stock votage 1.175V) and 2600K runs at 5.0ghz...
My gtx680 is a reference card, can i (without hardware mod) go higher than 1,175v in order to reach higher than 1324mhz?

Have vids of bf3 at 1550 on dice will upload soon :D
Last night I found a page describing how to mem hack afterburner and allow higher volts then norm.
Supposedly tested up to 1.5v.
So I guess it's really all down to software limits.
I'll have my 680 lighting on tue's, but it may be a few days before I goto clock it.
Gotta test it 1st to see if it's a keeper (just to see if it's good, not for max clocks).
I think the only legal options are:
Diff style patch for the ab exe.
Or software that can do the same written by someone that isn't a part of some vga card company.
I have to be honest though.
I'll check for max clocks of course, but my tdp in the end, I plan on setting below 100w...
Yeah I plan on downclocking it for perm use... to save power.
I have an ASUS 680 DCII TOP1328 core/3500 mem
i7 2500K@4,7Ghz
I have done the voltmod for Vcore and currently im in a bit of a trouble with VRM cooling (70c @ 1,3v). I have an EK Supreme HF for the core, but is there a VRM block that i can use for the VRM's ? I can mod it if needed be.
Do let us know how it clocks.
:)
Working on using a custom x58 classy mb heatsink on one now just need to dremal and file a few spots then drill new holes.
if it works out ok i will make two and will send you one if you need it.
I just got my 680 lightning.
It's to long to install though, I gotta move my drives down to some diff bays in order to fit it in.
Big card, largest vga card I've ever owned (have had bigger dialup modems though in the past lol).
I think it's really cool that they are putting end caps on all the connectors these days :).
From what I've read, the ln2 bios has a diff volt offset from the norm bios?
Is this true?
Ive read it's 1.215v or something like that.
