Windows 7 SP1 & 2600K @ 5GHz F6c Bios
SP1/AVX needs a few more volts & adds a bit more heat.

You need to turn hyperthreading off for it to work properly. Turn it off and rerun linx and report back with your Gflops and temps. ;)
With my silver arrow and hyperthreading on I reach around 80 at 5.0 and 1.43V. With hyperthreading off I touch around 93c on one core at same voltage!
It is working properly aint it? I wasnt aiming for high GFlops just laying down a stable 24/7 clock with the new Bios.
So what you are saying is HT off makes mega flops but with mega heat right?
Can you run lower vcore with HT off?
This was just a quick run during my lunch break.... I'll give it a go later
Something is funky with linx. With HT off Gflops should be around 137 to 139 with SP1 and it produces a lot more heat which makes me think AVX or something does not work right when hyperthreading is enabled. Mine needs 1.43 to be linx stable with HT on or off. I seem to have a rather odd chip.
HT off 1.43V in bios and 5Ghz

Interesting point, dont like the sound of it as it will probably mean my 2500K will have no choice other than to cook. It also means you need a 2600K to overclock high on air!!! I dont need HT & was going to switch it off to save some temps whilst benching. Looks like I will need to get the AC out or the single stage if I want to go further.
I'll report back later.
wath voltage i need to touch for 5ghz stable?
now im @ 4600mhz with 1.32v and all the other voltage on stock.
i see C-N lowerd the cpu pll..... Why.... is the key for go up?
PS: i tryed 5ghz but.... 1.52v and 90° on core..... too many hot....
any help^
Wont hurt to try lower pll. I lowered mine as thats all the chip needs for 5GHz, my 2500K ran up to 5.3GHz @ 1.58 but my 2600K needs 1.58 for 5GHz & 1.64 for 5.1GHz....
I find I get more BSOD 101 errors when pll is too low & 124 errors when vcore is too low!!! other way round from x58 but thats what I'm finding.
You could also post up a bios template (see 1st post) & let people see your settings to make suggestions.
Has anyone else been getting this "main bios checksum error" and have it reflash itself back to the backup bios, which is still F2 for me? For some reason its happened to me 6-7 times already and Ive only had the board for about a week. It happens at random times overclocked and not overclocked, it did it this morning on a cold boot up at 4.8, yesterday it happened on the second boot up after just flashing to F6c with it still on factory defaults.
Anything better about the new f6c in terms of clocking?
hey peeps
i got a few bios updates for UD4/5/7 which should sort this S3 multiplier dropping to 35x after exiting sleep mode
give it a crack
I tested UD7, it works, just enable S3 in bios

That is what I wanted to hear, f6a is the magic bullet for this board so far. 56 and change is still solid and right now I am testing two sticks of my 6G set of Perfect storm and they seem to play nice on this board. I should have a set of the new 7-10-7-24 17066 ripjaws in about an hour which is going to be interesting.
my bclock also went to 107 from 104 with new bios
I just actually noticed what you said like a retard after the fact. I think I am liking f6a my self.
Balls to the wall.... nearly ;)

That is a killer mem score there. Very nice C-N. Just got my ram in now and testing begins.:D
Will be nice to see what psc makes cl7. My ocz' will need a lot of time to get them to run cl7 at 2200+
