Final BIOS released for all boards.
Final BIOS released for all boards.
sometimes at startup, the fan connected to sys_fan2 of p55a ud6 ( everest 120mm) run (power on leds) and then turns off for 1-2 seconds (leds off), to restart immediately after
seems to be connected to the Tamb, does anyone know why?
I have the same board rev 1 and i can't even get into the bios
I have tried three different psu's, 3 different graphic cards, 4 different sticks of memory and all i get is the thing will power up and all the fans will spin including the vga fan then fast constant beeps then it reboots fires up the fans and does this over and over until i turn it off??
No hard drive no keyboard or mouse or anything else except the cpu & fans, graphic card, One memory stick, trying to do a bench test first but failing to even get into bios, even after clearing cmos ..
Thinking i got a bad board. --->Forgot to mention that i am trying a intel xeon x3440 so maybe the board will not accept it???
I'm glad that I'm not the only one with this problem. It's the reason that I'm still on F5. Was this fixed with F9? I still had this problem as well as not being able to install chipset drivers through Intel's download with F8.
Also does anyone know the measuring points for VCC,VTT, and vdimm for the P55A UD3?
They are still listing F9 for the latest for the P55A UD3.
Ive got a P55A-UD4P with F10 BIOS, and there is no option to adjust the uncore multi. Is there another bios, or modified one that can adjust it?
uncore multi is locked

Hey guys, can someone post up a Template for a UD4P with a Lynnfield? Just got a UD4P and 860, don't know where to start :P
Here u go, nice easy little overclock to start with:
I'm not sure what RAM u have, so i left all the RAM settings on auto. If your comfortable with knowing that ur RAM will run 10x multi for 1720mhz, then do it :up:Code:CPU Clock Ratio [21X]

Also, try fiddling about with the CPU vcore, see how low u can go with it if it's stable in prime95 blend stress test with 1.20v bios set.
Thanks, what are max safe Vcore/Vtt voltages for lynnfields?
1.40v for vcore and vtt is intel absolute max in the data sheets
I'm running 1.2875v vcore and 1.31v VTT for 200x19, is that ok for extended periods of time? I'm currently using a megahalems with just one fan pulling air through (a fan on the front doesn't clear my memory heatsinks), looks like i'm topping out around 80c. I'll being doing a CPU loop within the next month when I get a little dough, but this will do for now.
I'm on about the same, 20x200 with 1.344vcore load, and 1.31vtt for my 24/7. Although HT is off, gets to like 80c in prime with it enabled, makes no difference for what i do as well. With HT on i need about 1.376v :/
I've found 20x multi to be the sweetspot for me, but i'm puzzled as to why. People have said odd multi's are better, or even even. But what i thought it could be, is that vtt acts like a buffer (like it did on my q6600), bring it closer to vcore by lowering multi to help with stability. And for me, 20x200 happened to be perfect, 1.344vcore and 1.31vtt needed, it made a lower vcore (1.32v) considerably more stable. Not sure though.
edit: i also have a megahalems.
Well here's an update: I lapped my comically convex 860, and am running Prime small FFTs right now. Temps went down in excess of 10c :D 195x20 at 1.27v VTT and 1.34375v Vcore. Temps are in the low - mid 80s (not higher than 85c, and that's perfectly fine in my book for Prime), and it seems stable. I'm hesitant about going for 4ghz, mainly because I need at least 0.02v more, and I don't want to push the temps any higher. Maybe when it cools down here, right now ambients are 25c.
Anyone know if the new bios on the p55a-ud3p will support the i7-875k?
Since BIOS F10,but F11 for sure:
http://www.gigabyte.com/support-down....aspx?pid=3241
I just installed F11 on my P55a UD3 and I can finally boot from my cd-rom again but now it seems to take longer to boot into the os. It sits at "loading operating system" for longer.
just flash F11 bios on my p55a ud6
great
memory bandwith and memory latency is better that with old bios (F9)
+500 mb/s in read and -0.3ns of latency
noooo i'm always late lol :D
but is it beta ?
however i think that the F11 is very good ...
there are knon bugs about dram timing?
bah
i don't know why but cl6 is fake
if i set it everest or memax2 show same result that with cl7 ( 6 8 6 vs 7 8 7 )
:\ (bios F10 & F11)
Bought a P55A-UD3 rev. 1 a couple months ago stuck a 860 cpu in it and OC it to 4.2 ghz without any problem.
Just bought another UD3 but this time a rev.2 board and a 875k CPU.
To put it mildly this rev.2 board stinks! Wouldn't boot to begin with, fans ran up slowly and the internal speaker beeped constantly. Reset everything and it finally booted. Tried a slight overclock to 3400 and couldn't even get to windows! Updated BIOS to F11 but this board still won't oc and is setting the CAS 9 RAM at to CAS 6 !? As per BIOS.
Does anyone know what Gigabyte changed in Rev.2 of this board ? Anyone else having issues with Rev.2 of the board?
Sounds like rma to me.
