Thanks for the input. I'm going to try and push things more as the weekend approaches. I'm hoping I can hit 4.3. We'll see.

I picked up a 3841A507 from Frys the other day. So far so good. Looking forward to seeing how it will do above 4.0

You correct that everyone can edit the file. I just noticed that it actually save automatically while I thought I had to go to "file" en press "save". So this is nog the case, just put in your settings and your fine.
Btw what voltage do you guys report in the spreadsheet, bios, idle or load?
I've actually dropped my vcore since last I posted. Now running 3.6Ghz on 1.21 vcore set in bios, 1.15 shown in Windows under load. Managed to shed another couple of degrees under load for my effort. I'm now only .02 volt above VID, next goal is to drop it to VID level and see if I can IBT with that low of voltage stable.
HT on, Turbo off. HT on is a must or I've reached my OC/voltage limit as far as I'm concerned. If I have to turn the HT off to get voltage down or clocks higher, then I've gone too far. That's a feature I'm just not willing to give up :p
I should add that in over a decade of being a tech, I've never owned an HT capable chip, and until i7 came out never cared. Now HT is actually kinda cool. It's not a bandaid for a broken architecture, it's actually a useful feature. Giving that up just to get a higher OC or lower voltage would be like chopping off one of my hands now.
I updated my version of real temp and my max temps went up. I think I need to remount the HS.

When I got your version 2.90 my temps went up too!
Download the latest one below, my temps actually dropped a bit more with version 3.00

Does anyone have any data on their 920's max bclk at the stock voltage?
Yesterday i tested a 3842A938 pack date 15/01/2009
total crap and the worst i ever tested 4GHZ required 1.45v
so you are warned...

Still tweaking my 24/7 setup...

Ran stable through linx 20 runs. 208bclk, ht off, vcore at 1.38v in bios and all others auto. 8-8-8-24-1t ram timings. Maxed around 66C during linpack, under water. Now if only I could afford a ss and some dominator gt... Batch number is 3838A557. Ordered from tigerdirect.

I recently discovered that my voltage readings in windows were all incorrect and were over by aound .05v for each reading seen in smart guardian as well as cpuz in windows. So I need to update my overclock voltages on my two chips.

Also the i7 920 3838A824 entry was measured at 1.28v load & 1.243v cpu vtt/QPI for the the 3.8GHz on air instead of 1.32v 1.29v cpu vtt qpi.
Got identical batch i7 920s = 2x i7 920 3836A756 interesting comparison especially how they handle CPU VTT and max bclk!
*** Prime95 ***
i7 920 3836A756 #1
- @3815Mhz at 1.232v HT enabled 4+ hrs (my 24/7)
- @4009Mhz at 1.328-1.344 HT enabled 1+ hr (my video encoding config)
i7 920 3836A756 #2
- @3815Mhz at 1.264v HT enabled ~40mins before system reboot (didn't test further)
*** Max Super Pi 32M ***
Both cpus have similar max HT enabled 32M Pi ceiling of under 4500Mhz. HT needs to be disabled for greater than > 4500Mhz on air cooling.
i7 920 3836A756 #1
- @4300Mhz HT enabled at 1.488v
- @4410Mhz HT Enabled at 1.520v
- @4554Mhz HT Disabled at 1.552v
- @4610Mhz HT Disabled at 1.600v
- @4652Mhz HT Disabled at 1.616v

*** Max BClock ***
Definitely this second i7 920 3836A756 is better than my first one in terms of max Bclock and low CPU VTT usage.
i7 920 3836A756 #1
- max memtest86+ bootable bclk = 224 requiring 1.58-1.60v CPU VTT
- max super pi 32m bclk = 222bclk (without IOH/ICH voltage tweaks) & 228bclk (with IOH/ICH voltage tweaks) requiring 1.60-1.61v CPU VTT
- max CPUZ Validation = 230bclk requiring 1.60-1.63v CPU VTT
i7 920 3836A756 #2
- max memtest86+ bootable bclk = 229bclk requiring 1.40-1.48v CPU VTT

guess some people are too stupid for this to work... i could require login, but then it wouldn't let people edit who don't have a google account, and some who mess the sheet up are google members too... long story short, you guys can keep posting, but there won't be any updates to the list on the front page.
It's so easy to correct or update the list, why no more updates on front page???

Great thread, but if no front page updates someone else should take this over. People looking for the best batch are going to have to sift through 10's and 20's of pages rather than just going down a list..."Hey! That 3836 is a good batch, ::goes to microcenter::" Jmo...
