Ok, it is off topic .. just to wrap up... You can get LameMP3 multithreaded, photoshop does multithread, and taskmanager is just as good as any to see CPU loading -- it answers the multhtreaded part. :)

Gentlemen;
Knock off the personal attacks please.
Not needed, not wanted, against forum policies and belittles your own argument.
I said "sucks"?:rofl: Please don't be a jerk and pin comments on a posters that wasn't made. That's truly silly and childish.
What I did say was AMD and Intel have taken a turns the last few years being the market leader. I'm not buying 2nd place unless there's a good reason to do so. IMHO, there isn't one.
I have and will continue to dis AMD, that's AMD, not your mom or sister so stop acting like my dismissing AMD is personal attack on you! If it makes you feel better, Intel Sucks!
Donnie27 last 15 Computers, 8 AMD and 7 Intel based, some Fanboy uh? If AMD's next is better, that will be 9 to 6:rolleyes:
My Q6600 @ 2.66GHz does 3092/10985 in Cinebench which is a little more than the Q9450 they compared. Kinda interested in their Penryn rig setup. But impressed with Nehalem anyway.
I'm not being a jerk...I'm not the guy maintaining I'm not a fanboy then producing statements like....
All of a sudden I'm acting like they're my mom and sister? Are you for real? Where do you get this from? I'm not the fanboy remember, I don't get upset about either manufacturer. I merely stated that some of your comments (like the last one I quoted) are childish....seems I hit a nerve. Like I say....people that make comments such as those, with words like "sucks" need to expand they're vocabulary a little. Which is often acheived by the time they leave school.Quote:

good, I'm glad to hear it.Quote:

What a low FSB
And HT :D
That's so old skool, Pentium 4 form 2005 had that
Nah, Vista 64 Bit, but thats what they used I thought...

Edit: Just noticed, the screen shot shows a Q9650 and the graph lists a Q9450.
You are being a Jerk when you're quoting crap I didn't post LOL!
Then merely post where you disagree with me? Pretty simple concept to follow. I didn't post AMD Sucks in this thread. I said if and when AMD had something worthwhile, I'm on it. I'm a consumer FIRST. I, just me, worry about MY Wallet, not Intel's or AMD's. That's what most in this forum, myself include, has always done.Quote:

Again, money talks and BS walks. I know TRUE Fanboys who are 100% Loyal and have AMD or Intel Bumper Stickers, T-Shirts and one guy even bought a AMD like Green Mustang in homage to AMD, I asked when was he getting the Green Arrow painted on it:rofl: I know an Intel Fanboy who stopped speaking to me for a month after I built my 3500+ system, and got another bud to buy a 3800+ X2:rolleyes: That's why I have a very low opinion of Fans in General and don't visit sites like the AMDZone or Intel Fan Sites. For the most part they are a waste of time.:DQuote:

No time to go digging up forum posts bud......but it's evident in the manner you post.
All I said was I'm sceptical of your neutrality due to the way you post (often positively about Intel but dismisive of AMD) as I don't believe people who genuinely have a love for technology and a neutral standpoint would ever dismiss other tech entirely simply due to it being a little slower/less powerful. That's certainly how I read quite a lot of your posts. Perhaps you don't do it deliberately but you do it nonetheless.
I agree with you about fanboys, and perhaps I've read a little too much into some of your posts...... I ain't arguing with you and I concede you seem to be pretty clued up. I just thought I'd voice my opinion though. :)
<< Now back to fighting these crummy temps :(
that 2% performance improvement over c2d in cinebench (the only single threaded app they ran?) was incredibly unimpressive
given that it's doubtful it'll clock like c2d at launch it's a slightly uninteresting architecture imo
*to the end of the article*
hell, im still buying amd processors, i mean jesus it was dirt cheap and im using it for a htpc so who gives a ****. i cant wait for Nehalem but AMD has and always will have that place in my heart that it can fill :D plus the fact that it was dirt cheap really make me take kindly to AMD once again cus i can build a damn good computer for little to nothing :)
To Donnie and everyone else who encountered that troll, I apologize.
DIE-TEMP is gone now....we'll try to pick him up sooner when he makes his 10th (+?) account.
ip ban necassary? anyways, nehalems performcance is pretty impressive. I hope that the same goes for the cheaper lga 1160 cpus.
Yeah, 20% to 50% IPC improvement is so unimpressive. The CPU tested was an ES on an immature motherboard running the RAM on single channel with crappy memory timings, so we can consider on additional unimpressive 5% to 10% IPC boost on retail products.
For me on of the biggest thing is the platform integration on LGA1160/Mobile. And Fusion when it comes.
PCIe (and GPU with lowend) integration in the CPU. I guess SSDs will force SATA to go ondie aswell sooner or later.
alot of people are assuming ondie memory control = no OCing like AMD but I doubt Intel would want to hurt its OCing **thinks** oh wait isn't Intel eliminating OCing on most of thier chips hummmmm
