It's already 52 according to memset.
I'll post a pic of memset when I get home -- hope to get you folks' input.
I hope it's not my ram :( I'd have to get rid of it and get me some 2x $$$ ram
THe mobo and CPU seem like they are winners :)

How are you guys getting by with your VTT so low???
I cant even get my computer to boot at 8x450 with my x3350 unless I upp my cpu vtt to 1.4
Unfortunately I don't even really know what VTT is... lol, other than anandtech's review said that for 450+ FSB requires vtt of 1.58 ? How are you guys cruising at 1.1v?
any ideas?
I actually just read anandtechs review... Really trying to figure out why I can't break 425fsb... I think it totally has to do with my VTT/GTL settings. I've been up to 1.5v and I can just get into windows @ 450fsb... That was last night when I didn't realize that VTT/GTL was that important... I was scared to push it past 1.5v but i guess its safe to up it more.
What is a safe high range for the VTT for 24/7 use?
Don't beat yourself up my friend there all on dual cores, quads need a bit more.
If you want to bend your head trying to work out what vtt is TTR have a good article that may help here http://www.thetechrepository.com/showthread.php?t=87
CN :)
Quad cores generally require higher VTT then dual cores. There is also less of a margin of error with GTLREF with quads.
This seems useful ... http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.aspx?i=3129&p=13
i wouldnt use that anandtech article other than the performance levels
reasoning is
i had the maximus and rampage
their gtl is way off.. and hence higher vtt...
same proc on rampage i needed 1.184 vtt
oops wrong article
yeah that article is pretty good.
I've seen a lot of people got their hands on the DFI LT X48.Can anyone tell now which is the best board with ddr2 and X48 on the market in terms of overclocking for the QX9650?What should I choose?

Is it worth watercooling the southbridge on this board?
As i was thinking of fitting a Enzotech - Low profile Chipset block SLF-1 on it.
I will be buying mips blocks for the northbridge and mosfet.
Ok thanks for the imfomation :)
Just need to double check these blocks are the right one before i order them.
Northbridge.

I found I wasn't stable with x3350 (q9450) at 3.6 (8x450) until I had NB Core at 1.58v , is that consistant with what you guys are seeing?
I managed to barely squeeze my TUE120 vertically on the board and still get my entire IHS covered. It is a tough fit but it does work. I was going to mount it horizontally like in the pics i've seen here but i have a 120MM fan that pulls the hot air from the cooler out of my case. I'll take a pic when i get home with some more details.
I would like to know what aftermarket NB cooler to get for this just so i have some piece of mind.
Yeah I thought it was a lot!, just for testing I have my multiplier at 6x, so its not my cpu. Getting stable at 450FSB requires me to use that much voltage! (1.58v), could it be my memory? I have set the basic settings pretty relaxed, (5-7-7-18) could I be missing a setting that needs a lot of NB volts in order to run, (i tried upping my memory volts, but it didnt make me stable at all, only the NB volts made it stable.) BTW, I have my CPU VTT at 1.6v (because of reading anandtech P35 review and copying their settings for 445FSB)
It is interesting to see how does the TR 120 Ultra Extreme fit vertically after installing a Noctua U6 on the NB!
Has anyone with this configuration mounted vertically the TR extreme?

now with tweaking
awesome to get those 4 sticks at those low trfc.
CPU and NB GTL at 75,75,74 ( That should be default)
Reduced Vcore ( noticed theres a lot of droop on this board.. around 0.02v-0.03v on c2d.. must be more on quaddies.. any pencil mod?)
Ram setting change only 3-3-3-8 TRFC at 23 and performance level 6
ran memtest86 overnight 5 passes without a hitch..
Well, got my board in yesterday and it posted into the bios without issue. But, I was unable to ever get it to install Vista 64. It would hang, most of the times right after it initially loads it's first files (when the cursor comes on the screen for the very first time), sometimes right after I put the serial number in, but always a hard lockup. I tried it stripped down with one stick of ram, with the Areca 1210 in the 4X and 16X slots, with no usb mouse or keyboard attached, with nothing but the video card and 1210 installed. All with lockups. I had the bios at stock settings only, no tweaks, although I tried tweaking voltages to see if that would help (it didn't). I put the EX38 DS4 back in and it installed it without issue (and OC'd to 3.33 ghx as well).
Seems I might have recieved a bum board from newegg, unless someone else knows what the issue might be?

Using the 9650 with Vista 64 be sure "PPM (EIST) Mode" and "Virtualization Technology" is disabled in the BIOS during the install.
I'll defer to Praz' wisdom. :D
I never tried disabling the Virtualization mode. If Praz' advice doesn't help I'll chime in.
I would say disable both the Intel and JMicron hard drive support though.
