Yeah I saw the picture later on, sorry bout that, and I didn't know that you knew them from before :)
yeah we all know each other from worldofcrysis forums and guru3d but guru3d sucks big time now so we just go to WOC .. alot more fun and no mods power tripping..
So hopefully an update this week MOFO? lol
updated thru post 257........
.........the rest in the morning
I wonder if i can break 8.5K for the S939 crowd with some ice?
anyone wanna place an oppinion: would exceptionally tight timings at ~200 (as tight as the mobo will allow!) or slacker timings at ~240 be better on the ram?
Tight timings AND high mhz is the best, but if I had to choose, I would definitively go for the tighter timings on any s939 setup. Even though I don't know what Nuclearus likes best... you could try both ways and see :)
Since I have two sets of sticks, one 2x512 TCCD and one 2x1024 UCCC, I prefer the 2x1024 since it's actually more memory than the other one (2gigs instead of 1gig), but that don't make the TCCD any less worth.
Actually... My 1GB TCCD @ 300 MHz 3-4-4-8 1T is ONLY(!) making me lose 59(!) points in 3DMark06 in comparance to my 2GB UCCC @ 233 MHz 3-4-4-8 1T.
Make of it what you will, but I really think the tighter the timing the better, but it's more up to your memory controller then what you'd think, and mobo for that matter. Couldn't get any ram stabile over 233 MHz using the cpu-closest memory channel on mobo, so I tried switching, and then I easy set TCCD to 300 MHz (HTT 300, multi 9x and divider 200 (1:1)) and UCCC to 245.5 MHz (HTT 300, multi 9x and divider 166).
It's like with women.... the tighter the better :D
EDIT: And I might add, that the reason I use UCCC instead of TCCD now, is that 2gb loads my games and everything else faster than 1gb. I think my TCCD kicks ass to :D Could've placed in a HTPC or made a real nice recording/studio PC with it :) See sig, might just do that, with the "still missing mobo for this s939 project" :)
hehe
i have 2*512mb 5B-G's that do about 208mhz 2-2-2-6-1T with subs at something daft like 7-9-1-2-1-1-1 (ill be exact later) - but wont go past 225 even at 3-4-4-10-2T
and 2*1024 5B-F's that memtest upto 264 with 3-3-3-8-1T 11-14-2-2-1-1-2 or whatever. (and go much higher on a multi with slackened sub timings), they also do about 245 @ 2.5-3-3-8-1T with same sub for days in memtest but wont boot windows on my dual core :/ (single core will, but that wont post above 253htt with the 5B-F's)
the 2*1024 are much the better in real world apps, for sure.
but for benching. ill have to test :)
*edit*
All sticks are Crucial Balistix PC4000 (non tracer). the 512's are old '05 originals the 1024's are lead-free '07 shiney
Just curious, but are ya'll using PC4000 memory?
Alright dude. It's been forever and a day since we've had an update. I'm not trying to sound like an ass but if you're too busy or just don't have the desire to check this often, then let someone know so we can have this thing updated as it should be. This would be probably be far more popular if people saw an actively updated thread. Instead, we're now weeks behind.

ALL UPDATED guys ;)
Sorry for the delays, been real busy lately...hardly any free-time.
Rest assured I got my girlfriend to stand on one of my nutz as punishment:shock2:
Got a new score of my own but I'll submit in a while as I have some good temps here.
Let me know if any of you guys spot any errors :)
If I've missed anyone, sorry in advance.....just re-post and I'll sort it.
damn i might have to retry my E66 maybe push it a bit harder see if i can go up a few points.

seems to be an OK score for Q6600
Bugger, couldnt get it to boot at much higher than last time, so i just tweaked ram some more, only worth a few points, but its a bit better... Not going to bother anymore untill i get a quad or something.
