i'm just curious...are microsoft programmers not under some contract which takes their intellectual property and makes it that of microsoft? so if a microsoft employee works on the xsos project, does microsoft own that work?
only if they use same part of code, but i think that wouldn't happend :)

ok, so you mean that it'll probably be impossible to make a linux distro think you're trying to run a virtualized linux inside of it with the new KVM (Kernel Virtual-Machine, it's a form of virtualization that passes on the exact hardware specs rather than generics and only to another *nix from the kernel rather than userspace.) stuff that's being put into the 2.6.x linux kernels.Quote:

too bad you couldn't just derive from the linux kernel, but if you're trying to BSD it and not GPL, then you can't use linux.

it will work on anything just like normal windows but with much better perfromance and less load that it will run perfectly on a P3 and even P2
