Woot for Saskatoon, it's been not too bad around here lately though. about a week ago or so we had some nice forty below blizzard lovin', however it was hard to breath when outside, let alone bench.
Hey Sneil, looks like you're off Taylor by the SGI?
that is about 5-6 blocks from where i live :cool:Quote:

I pulled an 8230 in 3D05 with E6400 + X850XT :). Temp was about 0C in my room.

Did a quick Nuclearus test
:D I have no intention to overclock outside this winter. Just wanted to share this nice pic of thermometer. Lowest temp was -37 celsius :slobber: (night)
-25 C

SF3D if i have those teperatures i will made my dream for now.To break the WR for my CPU...but...
Duh, its -26c this morning. Still waiting for my eXpert board. But imo ill catch coldbug faster than my cpu.
Done at the balkony with the temp at -1 around the case, about 8 degrees on the cores idle:

.09C ambients; no ambient thermometer photo ... but it got me to 4300mhz validated on an E6400. i was set up in the driveway around 3am; do note, my house resides on a culdesac:

i'm in houston, TX ... so are winter time ambients rarely dip below -1 or -2 ambients; for that benchy ... there was intermittent ice falling.
:)
also, got the second highest score on a certain sciencemark benchmark contest over at techpowerup! forums ... smoked more than a few 6600's along the way; love my 6400!

can't wait till next winter!
What i'm wondering - would proper phase change work at subzero temps?
failing that, it's time to get a nice BIG old slab of metal!
Edit: and a quick tip for ease of sub-zero benching - keep your chunk of metal heatsink in the freezer until the day of reckoning, that way it's kept cold, rather than having to cool down!
Here are my results:
ambient ~-9°C
E6400 + Asus Commando + HR-05 @ NB + 2GB GoodRAM PRO
(sorry for bad quality, Sony Ericsson K600i only :()

The only screenshot of sub-zero on CPU @ BIOS:

And this is the effect of "coldbug" on Coollaboratory Liquid Pro I think, nothing changed but the liquid metal had frozed if I'm thinking correct
http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/2435/dsc00310oc7.jpg
and results: 4GHz @ Orthos with some nice temperature ;) (not stable of course, ~15min or so before crash)

1M @ 4064MHz, CPU has wall @ ~510, max 1M @ 514,6, with these temperature I could POST @ 530x6, but nothing really special...;, so the NB is limiting here - this is with 1066 strap of course :)

First of all I must say WHAT A THREAD!!!!
You don't see these pics and setup anywhere else in the world. I am so glad I am a member of this forum.
That being said, I live in Phoenix Arizona, and it averages 40C to 45C here during summer. I will not even try benching my system outside...
Hey heres an idea put electrical tape on all the sharp points and just dunk the whole system into ln2. whow am i dum or what heh hoho haha where am i?
