You'll need some 1337 SMD soldering Sk1llZ and equipment to do that :stick:

I have had so many problems with abit boards, i wont take a chance on one again, this might be a good board but ive had the worst exp. with abit boards.

This reminds me of the IC7 Max 3. It had all the needed voltages and basically the only board that supported 3v vdimm. The only problem was that you had to do a complete overhaul on the motherboard to use all of these "features" that Abit hung thier hat on.

I just hope they deliver this time around. Every product is going to have its issues and kinks, but the IC7 Max3 was a horrible failure.

Whhaaa IC7 was hte best 478 board out, only one to ever hit 400 fsb, and stock it was plenty for the average user.

also i wouldnt get it b/c this board is not yet mature, i might pick it up later when i get E6600 though, and when it has mature BIOS... which is why i chose 975XBX

AW9D-max will be same solid board if not better once vmodded..
reminds me of the IC7-Max3 one of the best 875 CanterWood
boards ever made......;)

Abit UK has stock & says that major UK retailers will have it by Friday.
I believe that Zipzoomfly in the US are also saying Friday.

what's the point of stocking something on a friday? Most people want it over the weekend to play with it. Now they gotta wait for like a week before receiving the product.

I still have my IC7G MaxII my 9yr old now enjoys it with a 3.2EE ...... best 478 board i ever used as well ..................... 9 Abit boards not an RMA with any

are you serious? do you guys not remember what had to be done to the Max3before it would become a stable platform? you had to do just about every mod known to mankind and then some. ill admit, once the mods were done it hands down the best 875 board around. but stock out of the box I thought it was absolute crap. extreme vdimm fluctuation, vcore droop, etc... just instability until fully modded vtt, vdd, vdimm, vcore, vagp, etc...

I just hope that Abit doesnt do this again and another thing is I hope thier support is better this time than it has been before.

i know i sound negative, but i went through so many RMAs with ABit over the whole IC7 series. Its kinda hard to be optimistic..."when your hommies lying dead on the pavement twisted but yall dont hear me though!" LOL :D Just thought I would add some humor.

All I did was the VTT mod, both took my 3.2Northie up to 4.5gig without a hassle - and Hall of Fame top10 then....

Certainly the best Canterwood board ever...even if it needed a little tweak.

I had 2, and both outstanding.

Cannot wait for the new Max.

Even though I have a WS-Pro, S3, Infinity and P5W Dh already ;)

Some people will be able to pick up on the Friday or Saturday (or indeed pay extra for a Saturday delivery).
But seeing as Abit UK only had theirs arrive on Wednesday having them in customers on Friday is probably about as fast as they could be.

FINALLY someone who agrees with me. the MAX 3 was the biggest pile of poop ever created until you total modded it.
funny how a 99 cent piece of hardware can fix what a company should have done in the first place.

anyways no sign of the board anywhere that i can find.
not on fry's site either.
