Has anyone tried downloading and installing Dual Core Center from here? I can't get the program that came on the disk with the board to work.

Anyway here are all the problems I am facing.
Need vMCH
Bios needs to allow me to go more than 265 FSB
PC Alert4 reports wrong CPU temps (showed 180c for me)
System needs very high voltages for OCs
More ram options and fix CPU FSB to RAM Ratios (They don't always work for me)
Fix bios problems which make it show wrong frequency
Allow for down multis on retail conroes
There are others, you guys should add to this list so we can all call MSI and tell them of these problems.
I agree with the majority of the problems you have. Definitely need vMCH, but you should be getting more than 265 FSB. I can get 360.

I'm at work right now, but max FSB is 550 I believe.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you disable C1E option in the BiOS you're locked into the highhest multiplier. Also there are features in the BIOS you will see only with a Conroe and Allendale I assume. I ran a D805 and had similar problems with FSB. I do agree, we need a Bios update to choose multiplier, instead of being locked into the highest.

hi I'm new to this forum.
I'm on my second board. I'm running a Celeron 3.06 stock and OCZ gold 6400 RAM at 2.0 V. After changing the memory divider to 1.25, the board refuses to post. It powers on, the fans come on then powers off. This cycle repeats itself over and over without me touching the power button. Clearing the CMOS doesn't help. I currently left the battery out overnight and also unplugged the motherboard. I haven't tried it again today.
Of course I have tried switching the power supply, processor and RAM. this doesn't help.
Other issues that I've noticed include LAN isn't always detected in Windows XP. in the bios, the +12V is reported as 13 with both my Enermax and Fortron power supplies.
this board in its current state is a pain.
Sorry I downloaded MSI DUAL core center, not Core centerQuote:

I just tested core center and it reads my CPU temp as -78 and starts beeping. It won't let me change Vcore either. Use dual core center, atleast it shows correct temps and frequencys and allows some OC...

[QUOTE]Are you using the cpu in your sig? I just got the board and it doesn't even have Core Center on the MSI disc. I downloaded it after reading that you did but it locks up and doesn't read fsb or multi right. [QUOTE]
Did you install Dot Net Frame Work 2.0.?
Dual Core Center is on the disk. Look in Utilities/MSI folder.
That's Core Center right? I believe you want Dual Core Center.

I can't disable speedstep, it just won't let me select the option. However in windows I don't actually see my frequencys ever move or change.
I am having a wierd power problem with this MSI board.
It seems like my 12v rail is being raised along with my vdimm on my ram.
for example:
vdimm 1.8v
12v rail:12.15
change my vdimm to 2.0
12v rail is 13.9
is anyone having a problem like this?
Yes see my post a few messages up. Any thoughts on my post problem?Quote:

I pulled out the battery out put it back in and it started back up. It still does it, but I don't let it go 5 times, I shut the power off on the power supply, reset the cmos with the switch and it starts. It's screwy. I can't comment on the voltages until I get home.
btw, welcome to the forums.

My 12v is also read incorrectly, I see it as 13.8 on bios. Dual core center reads it as 11.99 which makes much more sense.
good god MSI better be doing something about all these problems or they are gonna have alot of boards being shipped back to them.
