On theory, yes. Drastically, no... but noticeably lower, absolutely.

I am in the process of building a custom case.The motherboard is going to be horizontal instead of vertical and just wondering if the weight of large aftermarket cpu heatsink(ultra extreme in particular) would cause any troubles
having the weight of it pushing straight down on cpu.Read somewhere that sometimes with watercooling if the cpu block is to tight it can stop the pc posting and wondered if the weight of these heatsinks would have same affect.Thanks for your replies in advance.
