It isn't very stable at 3.733 - dual prime95 causes a reboot in under a minute.

haha, indeed. 3.466 on air is right about on par with expectations. 3.6-3.8 would be ideal but since so few chips are out, there's no telling what "average" is. I think with water you'd see a nice increase but you'll definately get 4+ w/ your promie. If not, then it's time to shop for memory ;)

i've heard good things about g-skill... and corsair has the tightest timings of all pc2 6400 but that will run you $400+

Don't try to tell me that Bad Axe reads out wrong. If it would read 10-20°C off than my real temp would be around 0°C ... that would be just stupid with ~20°C water temperature.

So just for the records: if Bad Axe reads out high, your temperature IS high.

Just do not forget it is the real internal die temperature, no off-die crap. Conroe basically gets hot (high efficiency and little die size) and air-cooling is not a proper cooling for overclocking.

It actually differs in most cases from chip to chip and board to board. Some are way off, some only a little bit and some not at all as is evident from your post.

True, the sensors are normally good but unless they get calibrated its just a accurate scale, with an misaligned dial.

I just hope that I don't have to install a $65 celeron simply to flash my P5WDH. It shipped with bios 502, so I guess I'll see if it boots with the retail stepping. I'll tell you one thing, I'm going to tighten those thumb nuts on my waterblock so the springs look like washers to make sure I have good contact.

didnt work with mine, mine was doa.. cant tell if its the bios or not,, FCG hot flashed my chip for me and its on its way back now.

Well, lol, after a failed OC run at 3.733 ghz, the voltage options won't change again, so stuck below 3.466.

Flashed to an older bios and now flashing to a newer bios and then reapplying my itk changes. This is really really annoying.

Thats what you get for using a pile of :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: board. I just sold my XBX, couldn't stand the damn thing. :slapass:
