OcUK have OEM 6300's and 6700's - The 6300's are currently instock/being sold and the 6700's are reported as being in OcUK tomorrow.Quote:

Why wouldn't the OEM processors be the same as retail? Aren't OEM CPUs same as retail but without the extended warranty and HSF? OEMs cant be shipped out quicker i guess since they don't have to be packaged extensively with manuals etc.Quote:

And what motherboards are you all using?

Hmm, seems the OEM 6700 OcUK were gonna be shipping tomorrow won't be happenning - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/sho...4&page=2&pp=30 !
Yup just read it now, feel sorry for those who wanted it tomorrow. I want my damn E6600
Again it's worth bearing in mind that whilst OCUK and the overclocking/enthusiast market might sound big when you're a part of it - in the grand scheme of things it really isn't.Quote:

That Gibbo is a right tit. I feel like knocking him out.
OcUK love to make promises they can't keep just to get your cash.
Sumanji, I think I might be getting the Asus P5W DH Deluxe because it's the only one I can find with two IDE controllers.
A bit harsh!Quote:

Just like any other etailer some deals are better than others you have just got to shop around intelligently. What ever you have to say they have 6300 OEM's in stock when other have squat and at a fair price. I think Gibbo really does a good job to get stock in early but at the end of the day he can only do so much and they are a buisness when all said and done and No i don't work for OcUK :D I/We the company just buy alot of PC gear and sometimes I source them from OcUK but I/We mainly deal with Dabs.
I take it you still attend School ?Quote:

No 6600's yet but we got 6700's get the 6700's now.
Then quite a few fools upgrade their order to pocket OcUK more money than what they would have been receiving before.

I really don't understand that argumnet ,it's a business if there's no competition and they can squeeze another £30 out of you they will, would you turn down an extra £30 for no extra work?, your paying to be the first to recieve them with pre-orders if you don't like the prices don't buy them.
:toast:
"Around £200". Since when is £234.94 "around" £200? That's the cheapest X1900 on their site, which is in This Week Only at the mo.Quote:

Nice little pot of interest there.Quote:

The prices don't really trouble me but a lot of other people feel it and I don't like it when an unfair price is charged no matter what the vendor is selling.
Raging Dragon, if you can claim back VAT you could always order from the States. I know Tank Guys does shipping to UK and its like $380 for E6600 + shipping. That translates to about £202 which is a bargain! But I don't know when they'll be in stock however!
+ Vat. I don't pay vatQuote:
