New p180b

Here's the p180b I picked up at the local Microcenter. Only cost me $80 and it has the p182 body with the mobo cutouts and WC gromets in the back. I think this one is a keeper. When I upgrade to quadcore I'll improve the cooling situation.

I'm so tempted to get the case, but im not sure atm because im saving up for some new RAM and i'd rather spend my money on perfomance than looks for the time being, but yeah ^_^

Pretty much where I was. I just upgraded to Vista Ultimate 64 for Remote Desktop and went to 4 gb RAM for that. I don't play games ATM so the VGA should do for a while. The only reason I got this case is becuase the deal was too good to pass up. MY next upgrade will either be 2 new LCDs or a H2o cooled quadcore.

I don't have access to my system currently, since I'm not in the country :shocked: . IMHO, I liked the design of the HR-05 better than the IFX...it just matches a bit better with the other Thermalright stuff.

the only problem that the silenx fans have is the price, of course the noise specs are bull:banana::banana::banana::banana: but they have a good airflow.

I have 2 of those 220CFM deltas ,1 for the TR-120-Ultra eXtreme - 1 for the TR HR-03 Plus, i dont use fan grills , im very carefull with those and only use them while benchmarking , it is kind of scary actually and I should play safe and buy some fan grills , thanks for the advice.

And sorry for the O/T but can you help me pick a cheap standby cooler for my 939 X2 coz as of now the ultim90 is just short of the Ultra120 Extreme pricewise and i don't find it vfm.
I will buy a good cooler with my new quad rig.
Which one is better with a fan- Ultra90 or HR-01?:confused:
With the ultra90 i can use only 92mm, with the HR-01 i think i can use 92 as well as 120mm.:p:

Yeah, you will get the fan clips with it and it's the same mounting as with the IFX-14 ;)

The HR-01 is good with slow fans and the HR-01 Plus is even better. I dont know much about the Ultra-90, because is never tested it, but I think the HR-01 is better

With a S-Flex 1200RPM @ 12V it's 1k behind the Ultra-120 X, with slower fans the HR-01 Plus is a few degrees better :D

A friend of mine had all his fans fail (including the NB fan wich meant his computer died every 5min...) except for the cpu fan. So he used this setup and it worked great :)
But as you wrote... noisy as hell...
