Does anybody know when the ex58a-ud5 refresh will be available? I am holding out for some SATA 6Gbps.
OK, I have managed to get into Vista @ 4.4GHz on my rig, although my ram is only running @ 1260MHz...
I have tried all evening to get it running @ 1600, but it just isn't happening for me at all...
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that i only have two slots working??
Oh, and in order for me to get into Windows, I had to loosen the ram timings up to 9-9-9-24-2T... I tried 8-8-8-24-2T but it would BSOD straight after the Vista loading bar finished...
I have already talked with Corsair a few weeks ago, and they did tell me I could get my modules replaced.. though I will wait and see what happens with the new mobo when it comes tommorow...
Here is my CPU-Z validation for 4.4GHz...

I am just going to try 10 passes of IBT with this o/c..

Hey guys, is 1.3750v alot for a 3.2 920 C0 ?!
Guys, does it worth getting W3520 over my i7 920 which can do 4GHz with 1.28v?
My 920 D0 does that near enough. As said its totally up to you but i cant see the point as you have no proof you will get one like the post above.
Anyone here done testing with 920 D0 & ud5 in terms of voltage requirements with different multipliers?
Right now I'm running my :banana::banana::banana:ty batch D0 at 200x20 and it needs 1.4V in bios (stressed 1.344 in cpu-z)
I'm starting to wonder if I could lower the vcore with a different multi while keeping ~4 GHz
anyone tried the F8E BIOS yet?
F8E here. Worse than F8C IMO.
So guys, what settings do you recommend for a 200 BCKL?
REMEMBE, I HAVE A C0 !!
Tried the F8e again. But no luck its totally unstable on a bit higher voltage settings. So its back to the F7 for me. That works like a charm on low voltages. 100% rock solid.
Ok....I'm lost for words now, just... wtf =o
Just put turbo back on, dropped bclk to 191 and started dropping vcore & qpi/vtt to see how low I could go and still boot/stay stable and honestly I'm :banana::banana::banana:ing speechless here going "wtf?"
With turbo off & bclk at 200 the only way to get pc to boot was putting qpi/vtt at 1.375 (or around that, forgot exact number) and only way for OCCT/Linpack complete their runs was to put vcore at 1.4
I just kept dropping and dropping and dropping to reach 1.255 qpi/vtt and it boots fine, vcore is at 1.3 V and I just completed 10 minutes of OCCT & Linpack.
All I changed since the 1.375 / 1.4 is putting turbo back on along with a lower bclk and different ram sticks.
Anyone here got an explanation for this?
ps :
Yes I know 10 minutes doesn't show it's 100% stable (not even close) but with x20 multi (turbo off) it wouldn't even boot with these voltages so huge improvement!
On most CPUs, 19x and 21x are more stable than 20x. Known i7 fact!
If its a D0, you should be able to go even lower on vcore and vtt. Three D0 chips that I have gone through could do 21x191 without any voltage change. Just turn turbo on, set BCLK to 191, set memory voltage to 1.65 and timings to stock manually and you are good to go!
You should be able to work with 1.25vcore for 4Ghz.
