Big thanks to ya John
P.S. What are "stock speeds". I don't remember seeing that term here.
Better get cracking on a new siggy there Carl:D
Now how did you do that so fast? Damn you're a spry Old Bird:D
Sheet if I had of known you were showing up to the Party Carl I would never have gotten rid of my P35 you're always tons of fun to have around.
Displays fine on my board.

just a heads up - the tr ultima 90 fits on this board in the vertical position (unlike the ultra 120), but it reaches the absolute top of the board, even higher with the clips. and it actually cools a little better than the ultra 120, 1-2c idle, 2-3c load, using same fan, vcore, etc. but this could be because of the correct (?) orientation of the hs.
The test on anand shows well how the board works with stock and o/c-ed mem. dividers, perhaps someone will find it useful, i know i did:

Hale of a good job by Raja/Raju on that.
very nice read.
Yes, i really both liked it and found it useful, nice review. Covered all areas nicely, i didn't know some thing i read there and later did some fine tweaking with them..:D
Phew, got all of the old tim cleaned off and new paste on, reattched everything and I'm done with that. now to build back up and check temps.
Note - Thermalright tim was all separated in one tube. I ran out of shin etsu, which is way thicker and easy to apply. I did get shin etsu on the NB and PWMs but used the thermalright on the sb, cpu /copper /ultra 120. The thermalright paste was messy and hard to use. Be careful if you use it because it squirts like crazy with air bubbles. I can confirm that happening on three tubes. Also, it's white, which makes it hard to see if you're using coffee filters or white cloth.
Anther note - after reattaching everything and securing it all down evenly, the NB is a couple mm lower. I now have a couple mm of clearance between NB and the 120s heatpipes, and before it was touching.
I have the 12/24 bios here which I have had modded slightly, I was wondering if someone, possibly someone who has 2 bios chips for this board would like to Guinea Pig it for me, as I only have the one bios chip.
The mod is, the latest Intel Matrix ROM has been added to it, I know DFI updated the ACHI ROM in the last bios release, but this is the new Matix RAID ROM, effectivly it should change your Intel RAID ROM version to: 7.6.0.1011.
Any takers ?
ps Nice to see you Carl (Stranger)
am i correct saying this and the lt version are the same minus the transpiper or are there other differences? thanks
for the clock & command fine delay, which value indicate tighten the ram? higher or lower one? old bios showing the "current [number]" but update to the latest one, it changed to "[number] ps"
Is this the absolute and ONLY change? This bios is running so well for me I would hate to have anything else changed that could bugger up my stability. If an updated Matrix version is the only change I may give it a shot. Where did you get the latest version and who exactly did the mod? I wonder why DFI themselves didn't include this in the bios.
My temps are great after resetting the heatpipe assembly. I lost about 7c in the nb and pwm. I've been able to boot right into to 9x400 / 1000mhz but it isn't super stable. I did a quick blend for five minutes, but then just using later and it would randomly crash a program and then restart. I tried a few different tweaks to the memory and haven't had great results yet.
Can anyone point me to bios settings / results for a dual core? I'm using 2gb GSkill F2 - 6400 - HZ (DDR2-800) and e6600.
Thanks!

Can I see your bios ?
awww, im so lazy. Where are those damned bios templates.
I ended up having to do the bi-annual waterloop cleaning. Pain in the nards when you have a :banana::banana::banana: case and two loops crammed into it. Took ALL DAY, but ended up about as good as it can as I relooped everything.
I will wait a bit more and then I will flash to latest Beta and have at er. Fingers crossed :)
Always interested to see what you can come up with Druid ;)
Here are the pics of the heat pipe taken off and the paste/contact. Also readings before and after reapplying. It looked pretty good to me. I replaced the tim, but I think tightening the bolts on the sinks did the most good for the temps.
