Same thing that happened to my computer... Exact same thing. It was working fine, had been folding for 18+ hrs completely stable. I restarted it after installing BF2142 and it didn't start. The read light came on, all the fans powered up, the DVD spun, but image and no light on the keyboard.
Now this didn't surprise me because it had been quite a common issue. Almost every single time I restarted the computer it would not work (no image). However, restarting it a second time would almost always bring success. In the rare case that the second restart didn't work, resetting the power supply and thus the CMOS worked every single time.
There was the occasional time when the computer would boot and give me a failed CMOS checksum, flash error, or some other strange device. However, restarting it again would always cause it to work.
However, this time, my usual steps didn't work. I tried everything. The P5B Dlx is going through a RMA right now, and I have ordered a QuadGT, because I am tired of P5B Dlx crap.
So I send the P5B Dlx in to be RMAed. I got a new one today. I set it up and it worked great. I set my moddest BIOS settings for my 24/7 overclock. It worked great, no problems. I played BF2142 for a few hours. Then, I decided I was going to try to increase my FSB from 400Mhz to 433Mhz. I increased the CPU Vcore to 1.50V, memory to 2.4V, NB to 1.60V. I pressed F10 to save and exit. The BIOS froze there and did nothing. After a few minutes, I manually restarted the computer. And guess what, it isn't working again. I got no screen. I restarted it again, and it told me I had a BIOS Checksum Failure and it was searching for a CD or Floppy. I restarted it again (in the past this would happen and restarting would work). After that, I have nothing. I have reset the CMOS battery and I have reset the RTC jumpers. No success. The motherboard does not POST (no light on keyboard, no image).
