No overclocks are guaranteed, even some VPMWs have trouble doing 2.8-2.9. And poor Nealh's barely does 2.7.
EDIT: if you were referring to Grinch's post 3099 those are an 0546XPMW

I know =\
Course, it seems everyone with a VPMW that doesnt do well has high temps.
wish ida got a vpmw instead of this upmw
there flying..
Ima end up with a UPMW I beleive... may sell it depending on results.
VPMW overclocks seem to have a lot to do with controlling temperature.
mine does just fine at 1.35V 2.8ghz, but increasing much more than that and I get heat problems (50C full load)...
take my results with a grain of salt this was my first time to build a pc :)
Absolute, does the chart you are compiling control for cooling solution used? It seems like if this variable is not controlled for it will have a much larger influence on reported results than batch
I just want 3ghz.... willing to push to 1.55v for it, but I'd rather 1.45-1.5
Or like the lucker Absolute0, 1.4v :bs:

This is UNBELIEVABLY ghetto, i apologize, but this is quite a few results ranked... afew of them are kind of off, for example Grinch's 0358 i marged into the 035x because they were about the same, but i forgot that was before he removed the IHS, nevertheless the trends are similar.

The biggest trend is that right after the worst chips, is a good one.

The only ones that got 8 pts are mine and Rufus'
My stock volts is 1.31, it's fully prime stable at 2.9 on 1.31 with watercooling, now with the IHS removed it might do a little more like 2.92 with 1.31
Absolute, did I ever mention how lucky you are?
jp with ya dude, hope my 170 can hit 3ghz, albeit at higher voltage.
I just went by batch #. I have a 0154 iirc.
jeje, to much talk here...now go and do that 3.2 primer:stick:Quote:

Eh it's been running Rosetta. I'm doing physics. Maybe 3.2 tonight maybe not.
Reserve this post for 3.2 action... sometime :P
Gentlemen - start your engines! Priming at 3.2 with 1.55v ;)

If i play games like battlefield 2 the temp is +-40 celsius.
With prime is goes to 50-53 celsius :stick:
I think i go check the contact between the core and the zalman 7000 fullcopper,i havent modified anything for this because i think it makes contact?
Or must i modify something
Best graph ever! LOLQuote:
